Cross the Line

Never forgive creepy guys

I played around with the piano in the living room while waiting for everyone else to get ready. Today, Gavin was going to take us around town. We were still in Huntington Beach, but just a different side of it. Our school was further north, and we are currently at the south part.

"Ain't a bit too hot for jeans?" Rian asked Gavin as the boys came out of their rooms and grouped in the living room. Gavin just shrugged, "I'm used to the weather." The topic quickly changed as we exited the house and piled into the van. We tried to sit back at our seats that we sat on the way here, but I decided to ride at the back.

The reason I didn't want to sit shotgun was because Gavin was driving. I still felt uncomfortable after last night's encounter, where he gave me this creepy smile. I looked out the van, enjoying the view, then around the bus. Until my eyes found Gavin creeping at me. Whilst driving on the straight road, his eyes were on the rear view mirror.. at me. He noticed me looking at him then quickly set his eyes back on the road. Shudder.

We drove till we arrived at the streets of the town. It was a very modern place with a twist of traditional. You had bright, white buildings with lighted signboards and older shops that's been around since the 90's. I liked it.

We got off after parking in some shopping mall. "We'll head outside first. Then when it get's hot, we'll hit the mall." Gavin planned his strategy wisely. It seems he really knew this town like the back of his hand. We walked out the doors of the mall, saying good-bye to the air-conditioning, and out to the sunny streets.

Gavin took us down the street on the far left. We checked out a really cool, old comic store. They had a collection of super-hero figurine's and comics from both DC and Marvel, that date back to the 70's. I was engulfed by everything in the store. I decided to buy a Hulk figurine. I was a big fan of comics and Hulk was my favourite.

Gavin had also brought his brand new camera, so he took shots of us looking around the store and playing jokes. I took a wacky photo of me and Jack fighting, I had Captain America's shield and one of Deadpool's swords and Jack was using Thor's hammer. He had also taken a picture of Alex and Hannah. Hannah clung to his arm while he browsed through a comic, looking annoyed. I laughed at them silently.

We walked along the street, coming across a candy store (I apologize to the readers who are hungry). Can't go wrong with candy. All 7 of us invaded the store, grabbing it off the shelves and filling up our basket's. I was picking out a packet of Maltesers when Gavin approached me. He cleared his throat, "I want to apologize for being weird earlier and last night. It's a habit of mine when I meet new people.

I looked at him. He seemed sincere and hopeful. "I didn't see you be weird at Alex." I stated as I chose a bar of Willy Wonka's chocolate. He chuckled and replied, "Well, I usually do that to people who aren't American." I stopped. He smiled at me, "Forgiven?" he asked. What's the worst that could happen anyway?

"Forgiven!" I decided holding my hand out. He shook my hand and joined me in a hunt for bubble gum balls. We spent the rest of the time together, me and Gavin. It turns out that he's actually a pretty cool guy. He had just finish university, getting his in photography. Through the rest of our adventure, he thought me how to use a camera and lot's of stuff.

Our adventure soon ended as the clock's hands had sped away to about 3 in the afternoon. The blazing sun was slowly killing us. Gavin was sweatiest because of his jeans. All of us, groaned in happiness as we reached back to the mall and greeted it's air-conditioning.

We sat down at a Japanese restaurant called, Ichigo. It reminded me of the anime, Bleach. Yup, I look comics, anime's and video games. I'm a nerd and I'm proud!

Gavin sat across me, nobody was on my left and Alex was on my right. We were waiting for our food when Alex asked me, "So, Gavin seems pretty nice to you." I shrugged and replied. "Yeah, he's pretty cool." Alex just nodded as we left the topic alone and chatted about our adventure.

I liked talking to Alex. I liked it when it was just Alex and I, talking about random stuff. Like the existence of vampires and werewolves. I could never talk about these sort of stuff with Daniel. He would just say I'm being crazy.

"Itadakimas!" I said as I dug into my food, following Japanese traditions. We had soft shelled crab, ramen and soba, chicken teriyaki and salmon. All the goodies laid out on the brown table, waiting to be digested in my stomach.

Lunch finished faster than I had expected. We headed back to the house, excited, tired and stomachs bulging out. "I loved the candy store!" Jack exclaimed, closing his eyes as if he could imagine his surroundings as the shelves and racks of the shop. I laughed at him and got out the van as we arrived.

"Beach time!" Zack declared. I didn't change my clothes, but decided to dip my feet into the water. The boys were still changing when Gavin came to my side. "I need a favor." He said. His face was smiling sheepishly, "Accompany me to the market." He mumbled out.

I laughed at him, "Sure, let me dry my feet." I smiled at him. He sighed in relief. "Why? Never been to the market before?" I asked him while putting on my shoes. He just shrugged and said, "I don't want to go alone, and I don't think you are going for a swim." He said. I just nodded. Fair reason.

"Let's go!" He said impatiently as he jogged to the van. "Woah, slow down. We gotta tell the boys first." I turned towards the house but Gavin grabbed me by the shoulders very aggressively. "I already told them." He sounded hesitant and I was shocked by his sudden roughness. I just shrugged it off and got into the van,

I sat in the front seat, as Gavin started the engine. He sped off down the road, the house disappearing from behind us. I leaned my head on the window and stared out as we made some unfamiliar turns into a forest. Forest? What's a market doing in a forest.

"Gavin, where are we gong?" I asked unsure as I looked at him. His hands gripped the steering wheel tightly, as his intense gaze was on the road. He ignored my question, but gave me a creepy smile. I looked up at the sky, dark clouds covering what was once blue. It's going to rain soon.

We passed a big signboard that said, 'NO ENTRY'. This wasn't right. My stomach was churning nervously as looked around. Up ahead, I saw an old, abandoned looking factory and a small lake. I tried to open the doors but they were locked. "Let me out, Gavin!" I warned him. I reached for the button to unlock the doors but he swiped my hand away.

The van stopped and he looked at me creepily. "I know you're a girl." He said with a smile. I gasped and covered my mouth. Fuck... Just then my phone rang. I pulled it out and saw Alex's name light up the screen. I picked up the call and screamed, "Alex! Help me! Fishing factory at-" the phone was snatched and thrown to the backseats.

"Do as I say, and your dirty little secret will remain a secret." He growled as he placed his hands on my lap. I shuddered and tried to beat his hands, but his other hand quickly grabbed it. "Stop it, Gavin!" I warned him, but he continued on.

I pulled my hand as hard out of his grip as I could, and pressed the button to unlock the door. I swung open the door and ran out the van. But Gavin recovered quickly, and chased after me. I noticed it was a fishing factory, and the lakes with wooden boardwalks were for fishermen.

"HELP!!!" I screamed out, but this place was far from the house and a abandoned. It was just me and Gavin. I felt a weight press onto my back as Gavin jumped on me, pulling me down with him. I landed face first, knocking my forehead against the wooden boardwalk.

I was flipped around, and my back hit the ground. I winced and peeked to see Gavin on top of me,grinning evilly. "Please, don't." I choked out. But his hands were already up my shirt, over the bands that wrapped my boobs. He chuckled and grabbed my private property. I was too weak from my fall to do anything.

"HELP!!" I screamed and screamed but no one came to my rescue. I screamed the first thing that came to my mind, "ALEX!!!!" It had started to drizzle by now. The thunder crackled and the sky was black.

I mustered up some strength and punched Gavin, square in the jaw. It gave me time, but not enough to run away.

He grabbed my ankle and pulled me down, then crawled on top of me. I cried out in pain as my ankle twisted in his grip, and made a horrible crack sound. He leaned down and placed his disgusting lips on mine. I squirmed beneath him and tried to head but him, but failed.

Suddenly, Gavin was torn of me and thrown to the ground.

ALEX'S POV

"Blake!" I shouted in the house. No reply. Where was the little bugger... I walked out to the beach. I still couldn't see him. "Where's Blake?" I asked Zack as he joined me. "Where's Gavin? Where's the van?" He replied.

My heart skipped a beat. Blake's gone. Gavin's gone. The van is gone. Where did they go. Something in my guts told me to go and look for them, but they could probably be out to buy drinks.

I pulled out my phone and dialed his number. It rang. "Pick up, you bastard." I mumbled.

"Alex! Help me! Fishing factory at-" was the first thing I heard. Then I heard Gavin's voice, "Do as I say, and your dirty little secret stays a secret." He knows... That means he's going to.. Oh, God...

"Blake!" I scream into the phone, in reply I hear his scream. That's it. I took off running towards the exit of the house. "Alex?" Zack shouted, confused. I grabbed a random bicycle nearby and started to cycle away from him.

What if I'm too late? What if I can't protect Blake from Gavin. I should have warned Blake earlier. I should have told him that Gavin was giving her creepy looks when she wasn't looking. I even caught him checking her out. Disgusting prick.

I followed the tyre tracks on the sand pavement as I found a sign that says, 'NO ENTRY' This must be it. I cycled into the area. It had a few lakes and old, wooden farmhouses-factory sort of thing. Then I saw our van, I got off the bike and peeked in the van. Empty.

"Help!!" I heard Blake's voice scream. I snapped my head to the directions of the sound. I saw Gavin on top of Blake, his lips on his. Anger boiled through my veins. I ran towards them. His hand held her ankle that was in a weird, unnatural angle.

I grabbed his shoulders and ripped him off Blake. I threw him onto the ground and kicked him in the stomach. "You fucking bastard!" I screamed at him. I knelt down and threw punch after punch. Aiming at his face. I felt an arm grab my shoulders, Blake was looking at me with fear in his eyes. "Stop, please." He said softly. The red anger was still running through my veins. I shook of his hand and continued to punch Gavin.

I felt his arms slip around my waist. Blake was hugging me from behind. His arms snaked over mine, and he whispered. "Stop it. Please." I glared at Gavin, "One word out of your mouth, I will hunt you down and feed you to the sharks. Capiche?" I growled. He nodded whimpered and limped away.

Blake's arms remained around my waist, his breath was heavy and shaky. His body felt limp, leaning on my back. I took his arms off and faced him. "Blake." I breathed out his name. I'm so glad I managed to save him in time.

I just pulled him into me. My arms around his waist, his hands snaked around my shoulders. This felt so wrong.. But at the same time, so right. (Caught my reference?) I've never felt so glad to see anyone right now. It's weird to hug a guy this way, but then again. Blake wasn't a guy.

We remained there hugging. We ignored the rain that poured over us, ignored everything around us, and everything that hled us back. Too soon, he released his arms from me. "We should get back." He whispered. I carried um bridal style back towards the van.

He leaned against the window and drifted to sleep. He must be so tired. "Thank you." He murmured, barely speaking. "It's okay. I'm just sorry I let I'm get you." I whispered to him as I leaned over and placed my lips on his forehead. He smiled a bit but said, "Stop being so gay." I laughed at the irony.

"I haven't driven for so long, so excuse my poor driving skills." I said as we drove away from the fishing factory. I drove slowly. Wanting this moment to last forever. But even if I wanted to, I had to get her back so we could patch up her leg.

I carried him bridal style again, into the house. "What the fuck happened?" Rian exclaimed as I placed Blake's limp body onto the couch. "Gavin," was all I said. Zack came in with a first aid kit, and a wet towel.

The wet towel was warm, so we placed it on his forehead to keep him warm. Zack carefully examined his leg. Blake groaned in his unconsciousness. "Careful!" I scolded Zack. He just continued to poke at his foot. He then sprayed something onto his foot and bandaged it up. I put little animal plasters on the cuts on his forehead and cheek.

I carried him to his bed, laid him there and covered him with his blanket. I closed the door and left him to rest.

"It's twisted but it'll heal soon." Zack explained to me. I just sighed and sat down. "Now, will someone tell me what the fuck happened?" Jack said exasperated. So I explained. Rian and Jack were horrified, Zack was pissed. I can't blame him. After hearing bad stoires about one of your friends. Hannah just glared at Blake's room door.

"Oh, baby! You were so heroic!" She cooed at me as she lightly kissed me. I shifted away from her and snapped, "Not now!" She huffed and walked away. I took a shower and waited for her to get up, falling asleep in the process.

Today, I almost lost him. That will never, ever happen again.
