Throwing Stones at Glass Houses

Chapter 1

"Stella, get up time to get ready for school," Jack said knocking on my door. I sat up stretching. Gosh I hate Friday's. I got out of bed and turned my shower on. I stepped in letting the water run down my body. I put the water on as hot as it would let me allowing the hot water to numb away my pain. After I cleaned up, I came out of the shower wrapping a towel around my abnormally small body. For a girl in eleventh grade, I look like I could pass for an eight grader. I walked back into my room and picked out my clothes. I slipped my jeans on and put on a black Blink-182 shirt. I pulled out a pair of hot pink custom high top converse and slipped them on. I went back into my bathroom and plugged in my straightener and hair dryer. I dried my hair I quickly as I could. I brushed my teeth and washed my face while I waited for the straightener to heat up. My hair is long and pin straight. It's a natural shade of platinum blonde with black tips. I put on a heavy amount of black make up to my eyes and then pulled a hoodie from my closet. "Wow, you got ready fast today," Jack said finishing his breakfast. "Yeah," I said grabbing my backpack. "It's Friday Stella, you should be excited," Jack said putting his plate in the sink. "What's to be excited about, that I have nothing to do, that I have no friends to hang out with. Those aren't such exciting things are they," I said throwing my back pack over my shoulders. Jack walked over to the medicine cabinet and took out my pill bottle. "You gotta take these," he said handing me two pills from the bottle. I groaned, aggravated. Jack slid me my special container of orange juice. I popped the pills in my mouth and took a swig from the container. I felt the pills push there way down my throat. "Ready," Jack asked me grabbing his car keys. "I guess," I said walking out the door. "Bye Jack, Bye Stella," I heard our mom call from up stairs. "Bye," we said back together. I stood there waiting to hear the pitter patter of little feet on the floor. My little sister spead down the steps and hugged my legs, "Bye Stella. I love you." I smiled, the first time of today and probably the only, "Bye Lydia, I love you too," I said picking her up and kissing her on the fore head. "Bye Lydia," Jack said opening his arms for a hug. She giggled and ran up the steps. "I'm gonna get you later munchkin," Jack said. She turned around at the top of the steps and gave him a big fat raspberry. I looked at Jack as he did it back. "And they say you're the normal twin," I said heading out the front door. We silently got in the car. The ride was as it always is, awkwardly quiet. We stoped at Jack's friend Rian's house to pick up him and Zack, like we do every morning. I hopped in the back with Zack. Jack and Rian sat in the front talking about random stuff while me and Zack sat silently in the back. "Hey Stella," Zack said looking at me. I looked at him, "Hi," I said back uncomfortable. Zack is such a nice person. He's always trying to get me to talk to him and become closer with him, but I know better than to trust anyone. Usually the only words he gets out of me are hi, yes, no, good and okay. Jack pulled into the school parking lot. "School here we come," Jack said laughing. I got out of the car pulling my hood of my black hoddie over my head and pressing play on my music. I pressed Face Down by Red Jumpsuit App and started to head toward the school with my head down. Zack came over to me and pulled my hood off of my head. He smiled at me, "Don't hide that pretty face of yours," he said walking towards the school. I bit my bottom lip and watched him start walking. "You coming," he asked me turning around. I looked at him confused. "You sure you want to be seen with me," I asked Zack catching up to him. "Stella, even if you never talk to me, you're my friend. I smiled and hugged him. Zack hugged me back. Now for the torture to begin. I walked into school with Zack closely on my left side. He knew about all the crap I go through and that one person who makes sure it all happens. Zack kept a sharp eye out making sure he wasn't anywhere near us. We hurried along through the hallway. "Stella," Jack called from the other end of the hallway. I gave him the death glare and his facial expression dropped. "I got to find Rian. Catch you later Stells," Zack said running down the hallway and out of sight. I pulled my hood back over my head and headed to my locker.
