Throwing Stones at Glass Houses

Chapter 13

Jack's POVĀ
I walked down the hall into the detention room and sat in the back corner. Alex sat in the front corner staying far away from me. "I'll be back for you two in two hours," the principal said walking out of the room. I pulled out my phone and plugged my headphones in. I listened to some Blink-182 a little bit louder than normal. "Is that Blink-182," I faintly heard Alex say. "Yeah," I said. I lowered the volume a bit. "You like them," he asked. "Uh, yeah," I said putting on a new song. "I'm sorry about what happened, Jack right," he asked me. "Yeah, and it's alright," I said looking over at him. "Woah you like Green Day," I said looking at Alex's shirt. "Yeah, they are amazing. You like them," he asked me looking interested in the conversation. "Yeah, I took my sister to see them last year," I said. "I was there to," he said. Alex was a really cool guy. It turns out he is interested in the same stuff as me. We sat there talking for the whole time about bands and stuff. "Hey we should hang sometime," I told Alex as we walked out to the parking lot. "How about today," Alex asked walking towards his car. "Yeah, that would be cool," I said looking around for my car. "Shit," I said under my breath. "What's wrong," Alex said starting his car. My friends took my car," I said pulling my phone out. "I'll bring you home. Hop in," Alex said unlocking the car door. I got in and we headed to my house.
