Throwing Stones at Glass Houses

Chapter 2

My school day was great until the very end. "Barakat," I heard a painfully familiar voice ring out. It was Alex. Alex Gaskarth has been my worst enemy since as long as i could remember. He never had anything nice to say to me. I user to have friends and be popular until him and his buddies started picking on me. No matter what I do he finds a way to make me more and more depressed than I already am. I continued getting everything I needed in order to head home, pretending like I hadn't heard him. I heard him chuckle, "Don't you hear me calling you?" He whispered the words in my ear so gently and harsh it send a chill of fear through my body. I turned around to face him, closing my locker, "Leave me alone." I tried to move around him but he only pushed me back into my locker, "Where do you think you're going?" I felt trapped. I felt like my next move could be my last, "Let me go Alex," I said stumbling over my words. The hallway was basically empty by now I knew Jack was waiting for me in the parking lot. "Alex, just please let me go," I begged trying not to cry. "Stella," I heard Jack's voice call from not far away. I sighed in relief. Alex stepped back from me a bit and stood there waiting for Jack to come. "Stella, there you are." He turned and saw Alex standing near me smirking. "Get away from her," Jack said pulling me into him. "You have no control over who you're sister comes in contact with, so mind your own business," Alex said standing up to Jack. "She doesn't want you near her, " Jack said pushing him back. "This isn't worth my time and energy. She's not even worth it. You're nothing Stella, you hear me!? You're a worthless nothing," Alex said walking down the hallway away from us with clenched fists. That's when it hit me. The tears slowly rolled down my cheeks. "Stella, he's lying," Jack said. I looked up at Jack beginning to feel my temper rise. "No, Jack he's not. I am nothing. I'm nothing but a space filler. I don't matter, I don't have a purpose, I am nothing," I screamed at him. "Stella," Jack said speechlessly. I turned around running down the hallway towards my house.
