The ballroom was silent as the large oak doors opened to reveal the main event. The young woman stepped forward in a tulle red dress, the long train flowing after her. All eyes were glued to her and only her.
She glanced at every face, taking it all in. This is what she has been waiting for all her life. She walked towards the front of the ballroom, sending small smiles to everyone she passed. She gently grabbed the microphone from the stage and lightly tapped the top with her fingertips.
"Welcome! My name is..." she started with a smile.
