She was always so mysterious, never letting anyone get closer than she wanted them to be. She would be there, right in front of your grasp, and then she’d disappear with a wave of her wrist and a flick of her hair.
She was intriguing, her short skirts hiding just enough to make you wonder and her high heels making you think she was worth the chase. Flowers were always entwined in her hair, poking out just enough to be noticed. Her smile was mischievous and you could see it in her eyes, but you never swayed, knowing that one day, a lucky bastard would grab onto her and never let go. You hoped that lucky guy would be you.
For a while, that was me. I was the one that every guy envied because I was with the girl everyone wanted to be. I had her in my grasp and I never wanted to let go, but things change and life happens and one day, I lost her.
We all lost her.
