She came back and had a worried look on her face.
"bad hangover."
"you okay?" I asked
"ya," she bit her lip and sat down.
We both finished all our pancakes and she picked up both of our plates. She walked over to the sink and started to wash the plates. Her hair was swept to one side, leaving her neck exposed.
I walked over to her and once again wrapped my arms around her waist from behind.
"you're so pretty," I whispered in her ear.
She giggled, "you know you can go now, right?"
I stood back slightly shocked, "what?"
She turned off the water and turned away from the sink and towards me, "I know you're expecting a one night stand. I'm not stupid. Plus I'm okay with it."
I couldn't believe what I was hearing. She bit her lip and kissed me on the cheek. She placed her ear buds back in her ears and started singing The Balcony Scene.
I was in shock for a split second but then I realized I was getting off Scott free. I went to the front door and unlocked it. I was just about to turn the handle.
