Life Can Do Terrible Things
Prologue.
“I needed you an-and you weren’t there!” I choked out as the tears began to swell my eyes. “We were teenagers, Alex! I wanted you and you didn’t want me! You were completely oblivious to the fact that I was in love with you for 3 years!” The anger boiled in my veins as I viciously wiped my tears away with the back of my hand. “Are you fucking kidding me? I WANTED YOU SO FUCKING BADLY!” He took a step closer as he clenched his fists and his jawline showed very well now. “I wanted you so fucking badly…” He released his fists as he whispered his words once more. His eyes, burning into mine. As much as my heart wanted to ache for him, I knew he was lying. I sarcastically heaved a laugh “Yeah well, you don’t always get what you want in life.” I turned to walk away as I saw Alex reach for my wrist out of the corner of my eye. I ripped my hand away out of his reach before he could grab it and continued walking, picking up my pace.
