Transformation of a Raven

Raven was nestled on the windowsill in her room after school.

Both Jake and Austin had practice.

Damon was a no show, actually she had no clue has to where he was.

She could hear the clock ticking, the house settling.

Fed up, Raven stood and opened the window.

The once warm autumn air was now a chilly in between.

Figuring she had nothing to do, she transformed into the raven form.

Testing her wings, she flapped them.

Raven could feel her feathers move as she rose into the air.

Smiling she flew out the window to the school.

After awhile she looked down and saw a bird's eye view of the small town of Mystic Falls.

People were walking in the town square, some people were hanging out at the grill.

She flapped a little harder and soon she arrived at the soccer field.

The team was still warming up and she watched as they stretched out.

Raven's eyes zeroed in on her mate.

Austin could be seen next to a dark skinned male with dread locks.

Raven let a caw and she saw that some kids looked around wildly.

"Hey look a raven," one of the younger team mates stated.

There coach, Mr.Merill, soon got there attention back by stating they had to do shooting drills.

Raven watched as Austin dribbled down the turf and kick the soccer ball into the netting.

She let out another caw and flapped her wings a little at the goal.

Austin looked up from where he stood in the line.

His eyes scanned the horizon looking for the raven.

He saw it sitting in the dead tree, squinting he saw that the raven had blue eyes instead of the regular black.

Smiling, he recognized it as Raven.

Continuing on with practice they took shots at the goalie.

All to soon there was a cry of pain and the coach looked to see a player on the ground in pain.

"All right enough for today, Mr.Hathaway, come with me." the coach said.

The players went and grabbed their bags from the locker room.

Raven flew from her perch and followed Austin as he came out of the school.

She softly landed on his car.

"Hello love," Austin said stroking her head with his long fingers.

Raven bent her head into his hand.

Suddenly there was a gunshot.

Looking around they spotted a person running, too fast for a human, with a stake in their chest.

Cawing, Raven flew around the car and transformed back.

"Austin let's go," Raven said sitting in his car.

Agreeing Austin put the keys in the ignition and drove away.

~other POV~

I smiled as I found one of the Salvatore vampires and shot him.

Unlike regular stakes, mine were vervain soaked, meaning either the vampire died or had to get help from a human.

This would help indicate who associated with vampires.

I walked into the woods behind the school and disappeared.

~Raven's Pov~

Austin and I waited in my kitchen for Damon and Jake.

I clutched a mug of calming tea.

Austin placed a hand on my shoulder.

"They will be fine, you'll see," Austin said pulling her to his chest and embraced her.

Placing the mug down, Raven turned to face Austin.

"I hope so, because I don't think we have a plan to get rid of him yet," She said burying her face into his neck.

Austin brought a hand up and stroked her black hair while the other rubbed comforting circles on her back.

Raven pulled out from his neck and leaned up capturing his lips.

It was a slow kiss but one of comfort.

Raven wrapped her arms around Austin's neck.

He groaned as she stood so close to him.

Austin was currently on the counter with Raven in-between his legs.

She swiped her tongue along his lip asking for entrance.

BANG

They jumped apart at the sudden noise.

Looking out the window, Raven saw a black raven.

"It's ok, it is only Damon," Raven said.

She approached the window and opened it.

The bird flew in and transformed into a scowling Damon.

Raven perplexed at his face walked up to him.

Soon she noticed the blood stain on his shirt.

"What happened," She questioned.

"Someone shot me," Damon said angrily.
