Transformation of a Raven

Raven quickly shed Damon's shirt and examined his chest.

There was a faint red puncture wound.

"Did he use vervain?" Raven asked as she continued her ministrations.

"Yea it hurt like a bitch to pull out," Damon said.

Raven leaned down and licked the wound clean.

Soon the vampire healing caught up and closed the wound leaving unblemished skin.

"Thanks sweet heart," Damon said kissing her.

Soon there was a knock at the door.

"Ah that would be my brother," Damon said flashing over and opening the door.

"Hello Elena," Raven said waving from the kitchen.

Austin mumbled a hello as he encircled Raven again.

"Raven, can you invite me in please," Stefan called.

"Come in Stefan," Raven said giggling as Austin laid open butterfly kisses on her neck.

There was a low growl and Austin looked up.

Damon stood there in the door way.

Raven answered with a cooing noise.

Stefan cleared his throat.

"We need to deal with this hunter, he knows to much," Stefan said sitting on one of the bar stools.

"We should probably discuss this with Klaus since he would know more," Raven said.

~Later at the Salvatore house~

"Hello everyone," Klaus said entering the door way.

"So what seems to be the problem," Klaus said smirking towards Damon.

"Well Damon got staked and poisoned by the hunter," Raven said.

"And this deals with me because..." Klaus drawled.

"I'm sure you want him dead just as much as the others Klaus," Stefan said.

"True, so here's the plan we capture the hunter, torture him for information and then burn him with witch's fire," Klaus said.

"Why didn't you tell us sooner," Damon growled angrily.

"Well I released that he wanted to make a point by killing one of my hybrids." He drawled.

"So has he gone after Rebekah yet?" Stefan asked.

"Surprisingly no," Klaus answered.

Letting out a breath she didn't know she was holding, Raven stood and left the room.

A concerned face took over Damon as he followed her.

"What's wrong love," Damon asked her.

"Why must there be so much violence in this town?" Raven asked looking out the window.

"Life would be boring without it," Damon said.

"True, I just don't want any of you to get hurt," She said.

"I promise to protect you and the others," Damon stated.

"Thank you," she said sealing the promise with a kiss.

Someone cleared their throat from the door way.

"Klaus said we are heading out tomorrow to locate the hunter,"Stefan said.

"Thank you," Raven answered.

Stefan nodded his head and left.

"We should head home," Raven said.

Damon agreed and they left the boarding house to go to her house.

When they arrived they heard pots clanging in the kitchen.

"Is anyone here?" Raven called out.

She heard a chorus of 'yes' from the kitchen.

Damon and Raven walked in to see Jake eating a sandwich and Austin munching on some chips.

Raven greeted each of them with a kiss and stole some chips from Austin.

Damon watched the trio and smiled at his lover's circle.

'Oh what a life, but I couldn't ask for a better one' he thought.

Soon they retired for bed and awaited foe tomorrows hunt of the Hunter.
