Can't You See It's Pointless Just To Argue?

I woke up again only to see Rosie missing from my side. I panicked, then I went down I was so worried then I found her on the counter with Sam and my Mom she was almost done eating
"Oh thank God, I thought something happened to you. Come here and give mommy a hug!" I told Rosie. She came running to me and wrapped her small arms around me.
"You gotta chill, Tay" Sam said. I glared at her jokingly
"Come on eat some breakfast, honey" my mom said
"Thanks, Mom" I told her. I noticed that Rosie was done eating. "Sweetie, go get ready for school, okay?"
"Okay, Mom" she said sweetly
"You know, she reminds me so much of you." My mom said
"Really?" I asked her. She always reminded me of her father. But she was just as stubborn as I was
"She has your eyes" Sam and mom said. I smiled at both of them.
I finished my food then I got ready. I took a long bath. Then I put on some clothes. Cass said that she would pick me up because I "picked her up" yesterday. That's how it usually was, if we used my car the day before then we would use her car the next day and the cycle goes on. As soon as I got ready I went down. Cass and Rosie were already ready. I said goodbye to my mom. Then we headed out. The drive to Rosie's school was quiet. It was a miracle, considering Rosie was a 5 year old child full of energy. We got the the school and we did the same routine.
The drive to the store took less time since we came from the old house. We got to the store and it was still closed which meant that it was our job to open up the store so we did.

Not much happened at work today. I'm glad that not much happened. I've been through enough yesterday.

The day went by in a blur, next thing you know I was at the park with Cass, Sam and Rosie again. Cass and Sam were playing with Rosie while I was alone by the swing set watching them when someone poked me from behind. I turned around to see the face of one Alex Gaskarth looking at me confused.
"Alex?" I said
"Tay, what are you doing here?" he asked
"No, what are YOU doing here?" I asked back at him
"Well, I didn't tell anyone, not even Jack, but back in High School I would come back here when I needed to think. Now what are you doi--" he was cut off
"mommy, mommy come play with us!" Rosie said
"I'm sorry I couldn't stop her" Cass said
"It's fine, Cass. I'll play later, okay sweetie?" I said. Rosie nodded and Cass took her away
"She's cute" Alex said. "What's her name?" I bit my lip not knowing how to answer
"None of your business" I said
"Am I the father?" Alex asked as if it weren't a big question
"No." I answered blankly
"Are you sure? I could've sworn I saw a resemblance between us" He said all cockily
"She's not yours, Alex!" I told him bitterly
"Okay. I believe you... Can I meet her?" he asked
"I'm sorry, but no" I said
"Why not?" he asked
"I don't think it's a good idea" I told him
"So you don't plan on introducing one of your bestfriends to your daughter?" he cockily said. I felt kinda guilty for not introducing him to her. "Fine. It's pointless arguing with you, anyway." he added
"Yeah, I end up walking away" I told him.
Things were silent between us for a few minutes then Rosie came back
"Mommy, Aunt Cass built a sand castle in the sand box!" Rosie told me
"That's great, sweetie!" I said. Alex looked at her in amusement
"What's your name, Mister?" Rosie asked Alex. My jaw dropped. Alex saw the look on my face he gave me the look asking if it was okay. I had no choice but to say okay
"Alex. What's your name?" Alex asked Rosie
"Rosie! Who are you?" she asked him
"I'm one of your mom's bestfriends" alex told her
"Really?? Do you want to play with me and Aunt Sam and Aunt Cass?" she asked him. Alex looked at me I gave him a look that said that it was alright
"Yeah. Come on! I'll race you!" Alex said. They ran to the sand box and Alex let her win.
