Take One Last Breath

Killing Suspicion

*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*
^*Kori’s POV*^
“So, I guess we’re leaving in the morning.” I stated, too happy for words at the fact that Austin decided to come back to the states, and she nodded.

“I guess so. I’m gonna miss this place, I have to admit.” She said, taking a deep breath and I was about to say something smart about Ville, but she shifted on her feet, and there was a cry from under the bed. “What the fuck?” She asked, stepping back from the bed.

“Bitch, you stepped on my hand!” I sighed heavily as Bam crawled out from under the bed with a cry and stood up as Austin just lost all expression on her face completely. “That fucking hurt.” Bam pouted, examining his hand.

“I’ll step on something else of yours if you don’t treat Kori right.” Austin said and I couldn’t help but smile slightly at the cautious look on Bam’s face.

“Oh you know I still hate him.” I told her, and stood up as I punched Bam’s shoulder.

“You do?” He asked and I gave him a look.

“Don’t question that.” I told him and Austin sighed.

“Well you two just watch your backs, that last thing that needs to happen is for Kori to murder Missy. If you two get caught…someone’s going to come out of your house in a body bag.” Austin had a good point except for that fact that Missy had already left, but only her heart went out in a body bag.

“Yea,” Bam said with a grin. “We’ll watch out.”

“Of course, wouldn’t want Bam getting hurt by the wicked witch.” I wrapped my arms around him and he kissed me on the lips.

“Oh god no, not while I’m in the room. Not again.” I wanted to laugh as Austin quickly ran out of the room, closing the door behind her.

“Good job, you run her off.” I hit Bam’s chest with my fist and he turned, his arms going around my body.

“Well it’s not my fault she’s sickened by the thought of me doing this to you.” Before I could say another word to him he smashed his lips into mine, and then pulled away quickly.

“Technically it is, since you’re the cause of everything.” I told him and he raised his eyebrows.

“Oh really?”

“Yes, really.” I confirmed, and he smirked as he pulled away from me, going over to the door, and turning the lock. “Well we’ll just see about that.”

“Bam, they’re going to get suspicious of where we are soon!” I protested, not really wanting to go back out and possibly have those Dudeson guys Bam talked about a few days ago come up. But on the other hand, we had been asleep all day, and that meant no one besides Austin had seen or heard a word from either of us, except Ville since he was in the kitchen with Austin when I went to talk to her.

“Well they can just deal with it, they’re not missing us, and we’re leaving tomorrow.” He grinned and ran at me, tackling me back onto the bed before I could move. A giggle escaped my lips before his met mine again, and I knew we’d be here for a while.

^*Hanna’s POV*^
“Hey, Fanna!” I looked over at the other side of the kitchen, taking another bite of pancake as Ryan strolled in. “You been able to find Bam?” He asked and I froze for a second before I slowly nodded, my mouth full of a leftover pancake from this morning. “Really?” He asked, sounding like he didn’t believe it. I nodded again. “You fucking liar, you’ve been in here eating while we’ve formed a fucking search team!” He punched my leg and I recoiled from him.

“Ow.” I mumbled, and he rolled his eyes.

“Get down and help us, or I’m gonna shove a spatula down your throat.” He threatened and I jumped down, swallowing what was in my mouth as I took another bite.

“Where have you guys already looked?” I asked, scarfing down the last of the pancake and he sighed.

“We’ve looked all over the house, except for the attic and one guest bedroom and Kori’s room she’s been sleeping in all day.” He said and I looked towards the stairs.

“She’s pretty fucked up over this thing with Austin, isn’t she?” I asked, looking back at Ryan and he shrugged.

“I don’t think so, I mean, I asked Austin about her and she said that she went up and talked to her. Oh, and we’re leaving in the morning, bright and early.” He chimed in with a smile at the end and I couldn’t help but be slightly worried.

“Austin’s coming with us, isn’t she?” I asked and he nodded.

“Yep, she’s coming back with us. Let’s head up and search the attic.” He said quickly, gesturing towards the stairs and I nodded and followed him out of the kitchen.

“Can’t we just leave Bam here?” I asked and he laughed.

“I’d fucking love to sometimes, but no, Missy would serve us our asses for supper if we did.” Ryan said as he started up the stairs and glanced back at me. “And I don’t know about you, but I’d rather not be eating my own shit for a meal tomorrow.”

“God, I wish she would have come with us, so then we could leave her bitchy ass here.” I groaned and he seemed to get an idea.

“Oh, no, we could push her out of the plane over the ocean and let her swim back home.” I laughed at Ryan’s dreams of getting rid of Missy.

“I don’t see what Bam saw in her.” I said, shaking my head with a deep breath as we walked down a short corridor. “I mean, I used to think she was hot-” I was cut off as Ryan looked back at me, shocked. “That was for two seconds, then she went all, ‘Hi! You must be one of Bam’s friends!’” I mocked her in a high pitched voice and then shuddered. “Then I felt like I needed to bleach my brain for even thinking it.”

“I remember being like that for about two seconds too, but that voice of hers is a fucking curse in itself.” He laughed as he reached up and grabbed the short dangling rope and pulled the door down.

“I take it Ville told you how to get up here?” I inquired, changing the subject and wondering how he knew where the attic was.

“Yep.” He answered and I pulled the ladder down, and climbed up first, coughing slightly as I got into the dusty area. I had to crouch slightly as I stood up due to the low ceiling. I looked around in the slightly dark space, a musty smell in the stale air, and cobwebs and dust everywhere, but no Bam as far as I could see.

“Bam! You up here!?” I called, but didn’t receive an answer.

“Is he up there?” Ryan asked and I did I three sixty, not seeing him anywhere. There wasn’t really any place to hide, just a few pieces of furniture with sheets over them, and a good few stacks of books, and some boxes.

“Nope.” I said, and got on the ladder, slowly climbing down until I was close enough to step off and Ryan pushed it back up.

“I don’t know where else he could be.” Ryan said, getting the ladder to stay before closing the door, and I sighed.

“Who the hell knows?” I hadn’t done anything all day, and it was already about seven at night. I was tired, and Bam was the least of my worries. “He’ll show up.”

^*Bam’s POV*^
I slipped out of Kori’s room, nearly falling asleep, but realizing what time it was had woke me up. I started making my way down the hall when I ran straight into Hanna and Ryan.

“Oh, hey, look who decided to crawl out from under his fucking rock.” Hanna said and I stopped as Ryan crossed his arms over his chest.

“Where the fuck have you been?” He asked, reminding me of Ape.

“Uh, I was in the basement.” I covered quickly and his arms fell from his chest, a confused look on his face.

“Why were you down there?” Hanna beat Ryan to the punch with curiosity drowning his voice.

“Kori told me Ville was down there crying when she was coming up the stairs a few hours ago, and I went down there to check on him, and she followed me and pushed me down the steps.” Luckily with Kori and I’s past, I knew this sounded believable. I felt bad about lying about Kori, but it was rather that story, or ‘Oh, I’ve just been in Kori’s room, the two of us having sex for the past few hours. Oh, hey, have I told you guys Missy and I are getting divorced?’ And that wasn’t supposed to be told until we got home.

“Go Kori.” Hanna grinned, seeming sleepy, but still alert enough to be happy about Kori hurting me.

“You’ve been down there all this time?” Ryan asked, his brows furrowing together.

“Yea, I had to break the doors open and walk all the way around to the house to get back in.” I told him and he got a thoughtful look on his face.

“She’s a fucking feisty one, isn’t she? Stabbing Knoxville with a butter knife, she’s tazed you, fought with you, and now she’s locked you in a cellar.” Oh, you forgot fucked me, made me happy for once in a long time, gotten rid of Missy for me, and gave me an escape from you psychos, and she doesn’t treat me like shit unless I treat her like shit.

“Well, I’m going to bed.” Hanna walked past me and I nodded.

“Yea, I’m gonna turn in too, we’ve got to get up at the ass crack of down to get on a flight and head home.” I said, and Ryan took a deep breath and patted me on the shoulder.

“Well good luck with Kori.” He said as he walked by me and I turned quickly.

“What?” I asked, not sure what he meant and he turned back to me.

“You know how she is when someone wakes her up early.” I sighed in relief as he said this. I thought he had seen something he shouldn’t have. “Hanna sure as hell isn’t going to wake her up, and none of us want to go through that and risk having her rip our eyes out and replace them with our balls.” He said, and I slowly nodded, remembering that threat she had growled at Hanna the other day very clearly.

“Oh yea, I’ll get her up.” I said and he scoffed as he turned.

“You don’t really have a choice.” He said as he walked away and I continued on my way towards my guest bedroom.

*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*
^*Hanna’s POV*^
I stood outside of Kori’s room after shutting the door back, not about to go back in there, my mind running wild.

“Hey, what’s wrong with you, Fanna?” I looked over as Ryan came back up the stairs and walked over to me.

“The room smells like sweat and sex, and she’s not wearing any clothes. I’m not sleeping with her.” I looked over at Ryan. “Can I sleep with you tonight?” I asked and he looked at me oddly.

“Wait, what?” He asked, shaking his head like he was trying to shake his thoughts out.

“Look, I don’t want to know what went on in this bedroom today, and I don’t want to go into it.” I grabbed his shoulders. “I’m sleeping with rather you, or Bam, because Novak got my bed tonight.” I told him and he hesitated for a second, and sighed.

“Go sleep with Bam, I need all of my bed and I’ll just wind up kicking you off in my sleep.” He said and I nodded. “I wonder what she did in there all-”

“Oh my god, shut up, now!” I yelled quietly at him, not wanting to think about what could have went on in that bedroom. “I’m going to bed, and if you open this door I’ll break every single bone in your body, and replace them with crushed beer cans.” I threatened and walked past him, headed to Bam’s room. I didn’t want to think of the thoughts in my head. Bam ran off after Kori earlier, and they’d both been missing pretty much ever since. I mean…I knew how Bam was, I knew how Missy had been really getting on his nerves lately. And they had that big fight just a day before we left… If he wanted to really piss Missy off he knew that cheating on her would do it. But Kori hated Bam. He had been hitting on her just a few days ago and when I confronted him about it he punched me in the face. It was the whole reason I wanted to come on this trip, to keep him from hurting her. And on the plane the two of them got separated from us. What could have happened then? I’d ask her about everything tomorrow once we got back. If I found out he laid one hand on her I was going to kill him.

“What the fuck are you doing?” Bam asked as I got in bed next to him.

“Kori wasn’t wearing any clothes, and I wasn’t going to get accused of trying to rape her.” I said and he just turned over, avoiding looking in my direction. “You know,” I chuckled slightly as I laid down. “With the way the two of you were both missing the whole day pretty much, and with the other day when you were trying to get into her pants, I almost want to think you tried to rape her.” I laughed, and he laughed a little too, but it sounded nervous and not right. “But, if anyone ever laid a hand on her, I’d probably kill them.” I said with a sigh, lying on my back. “But you hate her and she hates you, so no worries there.”

*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*
After I went to sleep, the next morning came way too early. Bam punched me in the side in waking me up. We were all like zombies getting around and gathering our stuff. It seemed everything was going as planned until I found Kori in the kitchen floor.

*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*
^*Kori’s POV*^
I was dragged through the house by Austin all morning. ‘Go get your bag, here, never mind, I’ll get it.’ ‘You need to make sure you got everything.’ ‘Hey, can you hear me? ARE THE WORDS I’M SAYING REGISTERING IN YOUR BRAIN?’ ‘Hey, get off the floor, Ville’s worried you’re mentally unstable and we’re about to leave.’ The last one was Bam, but he walked away soon after. I had been lying on the kitchen floor all morning ever since Austin dragged me into the kitchen and expected me to stand there while she went to get my bag. She just dropped it on me, and then continued getting her stuff together. I was so content in that kitchen floor. We became friends. He was quiet, and understanding of my need to sleep… The hardest part of leaving was going to be saying goodbye to that kitchen floor. But soon Hanna’s face appeared over me while I was caressing the floor, rubbing my cheek against it.

“Is she okay?” I heard Hanna.

“Yo Austin!” I heard Bam call next, and I closed my eyes with a content hum.

“What, Bam?” She walked up behind me.

“What’d you do to Kori?” Hanna asked and I sighed.

“The fuckin’ floor is so sweet, and nice…” I mumbled against it and everyone went silent.

“Maybe we should just leave her…” I heard Novak’s voice.

“NO!” He was answered with both Austin and Bam, and there was silence after.

“When we get back she’s going to beat the shit out of Missy, we can’t leave her.” Bam said quickly.

“I got her.” Hanna’s arms went under me and picked me up.

“Floor, no!” I moaned and rolled over in his arms onto my stomach.

“Jesus fuck, stop squirming around.” Hanna said and I sighed, staring at the beautiful black and red tiled kitchen floor, a pout on my lips as Hanna started carrying me away.

“Flanna, put me down.” I mumbled and Austin started laughing, following beside us.

“Oh great, a new nickname.” Hanna muttered.

“But you love me so you put up with it. “ I grinned at him as I buried my face in my shirt.

“Aw, someone’s got a crush on Flanna.” Austin cooed and Hanna sighed heavily.

“No, someone’s just a little tired.”

“Well I’m tired too, so we’ll pass out in Ville’s Hummer.” Hanna said, and continued walking and I felt the breeze outside hit me and a moment later he put me in the Hummer and I grabbed his shirt as the trunk opened.

“No, get in.” I told him, and he sighed and looked back at the back of the car.

“Fine, I’ll go get your duffel bag, where is it?” I heard Austin’s voice from the trunk.

“On the couch in the living room.” Hanna replied and I smiled as he got in. “Happy now?” He asked with a slight smile, and I nodded, crawling onto him as he shut the door, and rested my head on his shoulder. I closed my eyes, and was out within minutes.

*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*
I barely remembered walking through the airport, beside Hanna and Novak. Everything was a blur up until we boarded the plane, and I was back with Bam again and as soon as he sat down he leaned his head back, and I sat next to him and we both fell asleep.

*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*
^*Bam’s POV*^
After another episode of being woken up, and watching Austin trying to get Kori to wake up enough to walk through the airport on her own, but soon had to be carried by Hanna, we all got in Knoxville’s car, and headed back home. For some reason, he had dropped Jukka and Jarppi off at the airport, because for whatever reason they showed up at the house, according to him. But I didn’t hear much of it all before I was drifting in and out of consciousness. I didn’t get much sleep with what Hanna had said last night, and the fact that he was in my bed. As soon as we got home, I wasn’t paying attention to shit; I just wanted to go curl up with Kori and go to sleep.

“Hey, we’re home, so wake up.” Hanna’s groggy voice started trying to wake Kori up as we stepped foot into my house. Oh god, my house, my wonderful home. That had beds, and a place to sleep for hours on end.

“Okay, look, everyone shut the fuck up.” I said, and went over to Hanna as he woke Kori up and grabbed her hand. She just leaned on me, out of it. “I’m taking Kori, and we’re going to lay down and go to sleep.” I knew everyone was looking at me like I was insane. “I’ll explain everything when we wake up, but for now, leave us both the hell alone, and if someone wakes us up-”

“I’ll fuckin’ kill ‘em.” Kori mumbled and I nodded as she started pulling me towards the stairs.

“So goodnight!” I called, and we both walked up the stairs, and to her room, and I opened the door, and let go of her hand as I turned and shut the door and locked it. She walked over to her bed and fell onto it, and I followed after her, neither of us bothering to cover up as we both passed out. But then from downstairs, there was a loud eruption.

WHAT THE FUCK!?

“Oh jesus.” She mumbled and I sighed and put my arm over her.

“They’ll get over it.”
