You Are the Greatest Thing That Ever Happened to Me

"So how you guys been?" John asked as we ate dinner
"Umm, we've been good" Sierra said "Went to college, graduated college, worked for Adelaide's dad for a couple of years, we weren't happy there, so we moved here"
"Wow, that seems... fun" John smiled
"It's not fun. It's boring" Sierra laughed
"Wait, so how about you guys?" Paige asked
"Oh! Just got back from tour" John said excitedly "Wait, you do know we're in a band right?"
"Yeah! We heard about your band" I smiled. I got pretty excited for them when I heard about their band for the first time, well it's because I know that that's what they should be doing, they're really talented to be honest, I search them up on Youtube and listen to their sounds, I buy all their songs and I mean all of them, and I'm really happy because they have lovable fans who support them, to make it all short, I support them all the way.
"Really?" Stephen, who has been quiet for a while asked
"Yeah" I smiled "So you did use the name huh? The Summer Set"
"Uh, Yeah" Stephen smirked as he scratched the back of his neck, he still does that "So uh, what do you think about our songs? Do you like it?" he asked
"Of course! I love your albums so much! I even buy them from iTunes!" I laughed "Just know that we support you guys"
"Yeah, it's true, she's fangirling over you guys" Paige laughed
"I do not! I just sing to their songs" I said defensively
"Yeah, to every lyric" Sierra giggled "Well, we can't blame her. We really dig your tunes, man"
"Yeah! You guys are really great" Paige added
"Thank you guys" he smiled
"Wait, but you broke your promise" I said
"What promise?" John asked with a panicking voice
"Oh you know. When you promised me you'd send me your CDs and stuff when you do start a band. Well, just so you know, I haven't received anything yet" I laughed "But, it's cool, I mean, It doesn't matter, I know you guys are pretty busy. I'm just kidding" I laughed
"Yeah! I remember that!" John said "And no! I will not break that promise, just a sec" he said as he stood up from the table and ran out of the apartment
"Woah there! Where the hell is he going" I asked as I stood up to run after John but Stephen held my arm and pulled me down to sit
"Just wait" he grinned. John got back 10 minutes later, he was sweaty and panting like crazy and he's holding a box in his hands
"Ohmygod are you alright?" Sierra asked "I'll get a face towel, wait" she said as she stood up
"What is that?" Paige asked pointing to the box
"It's a gift for you guys" John panted
"A gift?" Sierra asked as she threw John a face towel and he caught it
"What for?" I asked
"Well, it's a gift for you guys" Stephen said "Our CDs are in it, and a bunch of shirts and stuff"
"Wow" Paige, Sierra and I said in unison
"We kept it after all these years" Stephen smiled
"So, do you like it?" John, who finally caught his breath asked
"Yeah! Thank you guys, really this is really sweet" I smiled
"Well, a promise is a promise" Stephen smiled

After washing the dishes and cleaning up the dining room and the kitchen, we lounged in the living room and talked some more

"I can't believe you're 21" Paige said to John
"I can't believe you're 31" John teased
"Fuck you John, it's been 7 years and you didn't change one bit" Paige laughed
"Well, I think it's cool that we didn't change" Sierra smiled "We're still close even though we had no connection for seven years"
"Wait, why didn't you call to check up on us?" Paige asked
"Honestly, I don't know either" John sighed "We're really sorry okay? I mean, you're right. We had no connection for seven years, we didn't keep in touch and shit and we're really really sorry for that, but always know we didn't forget about you guys, we always talked about you. And we told our friends about you and they really wanna meet you guys too and stuff, I mean, you guys are really awesome people and we always thought of you" he said
"Aww John" I smiled as I hugged him
"But nothing's gonna keep us apart now right? We're all here!" he smiled as he hugged me back
"Paige's right, you didn't change one bit"
"Oh wait!" John shouted as we pulled away from each other "You should totally meet our friends!!"
"Seems like a great idea" Stephen smiled "Can they come over?"
"Sure!" The three of us said in unison
"Can they uhh" Stephen stuttered "Bring booze?"
"Totally" Paige said
"Fine" Sierra nodded
"Okay" I agreed
"Oh shit, this is gonna be a fun night" John grinned as he tapped his phone, probably texting their friends.

I haven't met their friends before and to be completely honest, I'm nervous as fuck. I mean, I know they're nice people, but what if they find us boring? I'm really excited to meet their friends, And I really hope we can be great friends with them too.
