The New Queen
The Feeling After
After the all around Anna proudly giggled and felt giddy and happy with her gold medal around her neck. Aliya had her silver and Larisa gladly talked to them with her bronze. It was a great day. That was the birthday present she deserved two days ago.
She went back to the village and made an attempt to find Tom. She didn’t have a computer or a phone or anything to contact him. She literally searched forever, looking for english speaking people and just people who looked British. She eventually found his room.
She left her gold medal behind. She freshened herself up. She let her hair down, straightened it, put some more make up on and tried to make herself look gold medal worthy. It was late when she went to his room but she went for it.
She knocked three times and his friend opened. “Is this Tom Daley’s room?” she asked.
“Oh yeah…OH YEAH!” he exclaimed. “You’re Anna!?!?”
“Yeah” Anna said slowly. “Is he here??”
“No he’s in the media room” he said. “Oh god he’s going to be so happy to see you”
“Ok” Anna went downstairs. She walked into the media room and didn’t see him right away, he actually saw her.
“Anna??” he called. He ran across the room and he wanted to hug her but he didn’t. “Hey”
“Hey” she hugged him. “I feel like I’ve known you forever”
“Congrats on your win!” Tom said. “I was in the arena I was like screaming I’m losing my voice” Anna smiled.
“Thanks” she said. “I wanted to see you…im kind of done competing…or trying” he smiled.
“I’ve been thinking about you a lot. I didn’t think you would like me since im a few years older” she kissed his cheek.
“I don’t care” he kissed her on the lips. It felt really…right.

The event finals were a breeze for Anna. She really didn’t feel like trying anymore. She wanted a gold medal and she got it. She went into the finals not expecting or wanted anything. She just wanted to compete.
She went to vault finals and was put first. She had the lead until Aliya and Sandra Izbasa vaulted. Sandra took the title and Aliya took the silver. Anna claimed her first bronze medal of those games. So now she had one of each.
She went to beam where she was competing fourth. She didn’t like the position in the final but she was okay with it. She only knew of one person who could beat her and that was Larisa Iordache. Larisa did end up beating her…by .2 tenths.
They moved to floor last. Anna liked knowing she was going last. With her new floor music and her ability to get the crowd on their feet she won the title.
She took three medals from those finals. One of each color. In the end she won five medals, one medal in each final she entered. It was truly an amazing feeling knowing how hard she came.
