The New Queen

Before she left America she met some more interesting people. Sam Mikulak to be more specific. He was only a year older than Tom. He took quite an interest in Anna when she first arrived. He was competing for the men’s side.
Before Anna left they talked a lot and even exchanged phone numbers. It was just the start of their friendship.

After the Scam Cup Anna made her final decision about gymnastics, so did Viktoria and Aliya.
First, Aliya was retiring. She had countless of gold medals and other colored medals from all types of competitions. She had many honors and felt like she accomplished what she wanted. She wanted to retire in her glory days. Maybe if she wanted too later she would come back, but right now she was done.
Viktoria decided to continue training. She’s currently 22 years old with a few years left in her. She was only doing three events vault, bars and beam.
Anna made the decision to continue competing. Obviously or this would be the end of her story. Her reign was not over yet. She would continue to be a queen but in a new sense. She decided that she didn’t want to train all around anymore, she was already going into a Guiness World Record book with Kohei Uchimura for winning three consecutive world championships plus she was the oldest all-around olympic champion in decades. She decided to drop vault and bars completely and exclusively train beam and floor. The two events that continue to be Russia’s weakness. It was a decision that had to be made. She no longer wanted to be injured and stressed. At least with two events and maybe a weak vault she could still help and win individual medals.
This is how things would go…for now.
