The New Queen
Finally in Paris
Paris 2020 was finally amoung them. Anna was nervous that they would fail to medal. They basically had the same team that they took to worlds 2019 but they didn’t know what the Chinese and Americans were up to. Who knew what they could do?
The team had a short flight to Paris. When they got there they enjoyed all the delicious food and the delightful French culture. They enjoyed it while they could.

Adnan brought all of her siblings plus Ekaterina to the olympics. They took a week long road trip to get there Unlike Rio when none of her family could attend, they made the effort this time.
The night before qualifications, Adnan took Anna, Ekaterina and her five siblings to have dinner in Paris.
“It’s so boo-ti-ful here” Nikki said. “Where are we again?”
“Paris” Anna said.
“In Russia?”
“No France”
“Where’s France”
“on the West Coast of Europe” she said. “We’ve been to France, you were just a baby though”
“Was I a cute baby?” Anna smiled.
“Yeah, I was fifteen when mom had you…I was so excited for a little baby in the family.”
“Did you get to hold me?”
“Yeah, not when you were born because I was gone. But I got to see you when you were a few weeks old. You were so cute. You had a lot of brown hair and chubby cheeks” Nikki pinched her own cheeks. “You were the cutest baby of all…well Dasha was pretty cute” Dasha smiled. “I was your age when Dasha came”
“Really?”
“Yeah, I was excited. Lubov was so excited—you probably don’t remember Lu”
“Nah, I remember being in the hospital and being terrified…Dasha looked so gross”
“All babies are gross” Oleg said. “Now I remember when Dasha was born, mom was crying the whole time”
“Yeah” Mikhail said. “Dasha wouldn’t stop crying” Dasha smirked. “She was the child of satan”
Ekaterina smiled. “Ekaterina, do you have children?” Anna asked. She shook her head. “Well you have six now” Ekaterina smiled again.
“I’m excited” Adnan winked at Anna who winked at Mikhail. Maybe this wouldn’t be that bad.

Time to get serious. The night of qualifications went well for Russia. Anna and Olga qualified for the all-around in 2nd and 3rd. Aliya and Anna qualified for finals. Unfortunately Maria and the two other Russian’s didn’t. It was going to be a tough competion though because Russia qualified for the team in 4th behind America.
It was going to be tight, but they were ready for whatever challenge the other team had to through at them. Anna would not let her team down like she did in Rio.
