Going Downhill
In 2031 things started to go a rye for Anna and David. In late 2031 Anna discovered David was having an affair with a past girlfriend of his.
It was without question that Anna would leave David. The affair started a year after Yuliya was born. Yuliya was born in 2029 meaning he started cheating in 2030 which means by now it’s been going on for two years.
TWO WHOLE YEARS and Anna had no clue. Not until a family friend informed her.
In 2032 she filed for divorce and moved out with Yuliya. She wouldn’t stay. It grossed her out knowing he would do such a thing. They’ve only been married for seven years and now it was over.
At the end of 2032 the divorce was final. Anna moved in a town four hours away from David. She got full custody of Yuliya. She was making it harder for David to see her all the time. Anna didn’t want such a terrible person around Yuliya. She wanted her daughter to understand that men can’t get away with everything.
She was 35 years old now. She was still pretty young. She couldn’t see herself married again though. What if the same thing happened again? She had Yuliya, that’s all she needed to survive.
Anna had nothing to say to David but she had plenty to say to the girl whom he had an affair with. He sent her a three page letter about the effects of her affair with her ex-husband. She had ruined the relationship, ruined the respect, taken the father out of the picture for Yuliya and so many other things. But she would learn from this.
On David’s part, she was very hurt by his actions. He had been the one to be there for her all these years and now he was the one betraying her.
