The New Queen
Kseniya
In England, when the queen dies, another person steps in to fill their place. Anna was the queen of gymnastics since she was just 16 years old. She changed gymnastics and was one of the most successful gymnastics.
After Anna died, someone needed to replace her, someone who was just like Anna but even better. Anna became the queen by being unique, the new queen would have to better her.
The next queen’s name was Kseniya, she also hailed from the motherland, Russia. Here is her story:

Kseniya Borovsky was born in December of 2051. She already had one sister, Dariya who was five years older. She had both her parents, Zhana and Denis who worked full time and over the years had built up a business emppire. Kseniya and Dariya lived pretty comfortable lives. They were spoiled to the end. Kseniya wanted something she couldn’t buy.
When she was six years old she found inspiration in Anna Zabrikova. At this time Anna was the president of the FIG, and she had written many books on her life. Kseniya read them all and wanted to be just like Anna. She was inspirational. Even though Kseniya and Anna were different they were the same, they struggled for what they wanted.
At six years old Kseniya set out on her quest to become the best. She wasn’t age eligible until the year before the olympics. She waited a while but she got her turn in the spotlight. She dominated the world championships by winning three old medals in the all-around, bars and beam. Sound familiar?
On the way to the Moscow olympics of 2068 all Kseniya wanted to be was like Anna. But Anna had mentioned in several books that she didn’t want anyone to aspire to be her, she wanted young gymnasts to be themselves and make their own rules. So that’s what Kseniya did. She used Anna’s guidance and along with her coach she made up very innovative routines that didn’t fly so well with the judges at first. Over time though she got recognition for her weird combination of skills that no one ever uses. She was being compared to many greats including Anna and Khorkina.
Before Moscow all Kseniya wanted to do was meet Anna one day so they could talk and Anna could be proud of Kseniya and how far she’s come.
But something happened…
