Well, Who's to Say You'll Have to Do it Alone?

-Fast forward a few days-

Today me and Caitlyn were going away for a few days, we were invited to a family reunion type thing. Caitlyn was suppose to go with Brook but luckily she let me take Caitlyn along for the trip. We were gonna ride up with Eliza and her boyfriend Keith so now were just waiting for them to arrive.

"You have everything?" Jack asked

"Yes mother" i said and he rolled his eyes

"Hey, your taking a baby out of state. You need to have like everything" he said

"Yeah thats true" i said swaying with Caitlyn in my arms

"So where the hell are you staying?" he asked

"My aunts house, its really big with lots of rooms. Were sharing the basement with Eliza and Keith" i said

"Basement?" he asked

"Dude its fully decorated, its fine" i said

"Mkay. How long of a rid is it?" he said

"About three hours. Not to terrible" i said and and he nodded and then the door opened and Eliza walked in

"Hey" she said

"Hi" i said

"Ready to go?" she asked

"Mhmm, wanna carry her carseat?" i asked

"Were actually taking Keiths car so theres already one in there since he watches his niece a lot" she said

"Oh, okay sweet. Guess i'll see you in a few days Jack" i said picking up the diaper bag while Eliza grabbed my stuff

"Have fun" he said and we left, put my stuff in the trunk and we left

The drive was actually really fun, we spent the whole ride just joking around while Caitlyn slept. There was some traffic but it wasnt to bad. When we finally got to my aunts house Eliza yelled excited and woke Caitlyn up.

"Way to scare the hell out of my daughter!" i said taking Caitlyn out of the carseat

"Sorry. Keith pop the trunk, i'll grab mine and Alexs bag since hes got the baby and a diaper bag to carry" she said and Keith popped the trunk and she got out

"Shes nuts" Keith laughed and i nodded and grabbed the diaper bag off the floor and we got out of the car

"Were here baby, are you excited?" i said putting the strap over my should and i swayed Caitlyn and she giggled

"Thank god were here!. I was seriously getting restless, and a little car sick" she said

"Yeah i cant sit for that long" i said as Keith grabbed his stuff and shut the trunk and locked the car

"Come on" Eliza said motioning all of us to follow her

We went inside and there was lots of people there, lots of family i havnt seen in years. I let everyone meet Caitlyn and they loved her. Later we were all outside hanging out by the pool and talking while my uncles were cooking on the grill.

"I cant believe your a father Alex" my aunt Helena said sitting next to me

"I know. Im still getting used to it" i said smiling sitting on the edge of the pool with my feet in it and Caitlyn sitting between my legs chewing on a teething ring

"Do you have lots of help?" she asked

"Not a lot, but enough" i said

"Well thats good to hear" she said and i nodded

"Caitlyn!, wanna come with auntie Eliza?" Eliza said swimming over to us and Caitlyn kicked with enthusiasm towards her

"I dont know" i said

"Come on, i'll be careful" she said

"If you take her in stay in the shallow end" i said

"Duh. Im not stupid, im not taking a little baby in deep water" she said and i nodded and passed Caitlyn to her

"Seriously, be careful" i said

"Mhm" she said and went over to my other cousin Daisi

"So, do you know if my moms coming?" i asked lying back

"I dont think so" she said

"Oh. To bad" i said

Later that night after my aunts and uncles went to bed me, Caitlyn and all the cousins went into the basement. We watched a movie while i let Caitlyn sit on my lap and watch a baby movie on my mac. While we were watching my mac starting wringing, Caitlyn screamed and i stopped the movie.

"What are you doing to the poor girl?" Eliza said

"Nothing" i said and i clicked on the skype call and answered it and a video chat with Jack popped up

"Hey" Jack said

"Hi. You scared Caitlyn" i said

"Aww, sorry beautiful" he said

"Shes fine. So whats going on?" i asked

"Nothing, just thought i'd see how the trip was" he said

"Oh. Its going fine" i said

"Good" he said while Caitlyn whinned

"Shes so moody" i said

"Well Rians here, maybe he can cheer her up" he said

"Probably" i said

"Hey Caitlyn, i miss you" Rian said appearing on screen

"Da!" Caitlyn yelled

"Did she say dad?!" Daisi said

"Close, she said da" i said

"Aww" she said

"Are you having fun with daddy?" Rian said

"Mmmnn" Caitlyn said

"She loves you dude!" i said

"I know she does" he said and Jack took over the chat again

"Ehhh!" Caitlyn whined trying to smack the screen

"Oh my god!, shes so cute!" i said

"I love you Caitlyn" Jack said

"She misses Rian, let him come back" i said

"Cant hes in the potty" he said

"Really?. Im pretty sure he was having a conversation with my daughter and you interupted them" i said

"Fine" Jack said and let Rian talk to her

"Caitlyn!" Rian said and she squealed

During the video chat Caitlyn fell asleep on me. I ended the chat and put her in her travel crib, luckily she didnt even wake. The next morning she woke up super cranky and i carried her out to the kitchen were everyone was to feed her since i assumed she wanted to eat.

"Damn Alex!" Daisi said

"What?!" i said

"This kid is always crying, what do you keep doing to her?" she asked

"Nothing. Shes just hungry...i think" i said

"Here" Eliza said passing me a bottle already made

"What the hell, how'd this get made?" i asked

"Well i helped make breakfast, so while you were sleeping i stole a bottle and the formula. I decided to make her breakfast as well" she said

"Aww thanks" i said trying to feed Caitlyn and she resisted

"Thats not good" Eliza said

"Shut up!. Come on little girl, eat" i said trying again and she whimpered and moved away moving her mouth together

"Might be teething" my aunt said

"Oh god i hope not!" i said
