Do You Believe in Love at First Sight?

I tapped Branden on the back, he turned around, slowly looking up at me.
“Jess. Hi.” I could tell he wasn’t expecting it to be me.
“Hi Branden. Can we go talk?” I questioned.
“Yes.” I waited for Branden to get up, and we walked outside.

We stood there for a second, in an awkward silence, but Branden broke it.
“Jess. I am so sorry. I wish-”
“Why’d you do it?” I questioned, interrupting him.
“I honestly have no idea. I guess I never saw their true colors.” He whispered, looking down.
“Obviously.”
“Jess. I feel horrible. I wish I could take it back. I wish that the whole thing never happened. I wish that-”
“Braden.” I stated, interrupting him, once again.

“Yes?”
“You promise me that you will never do it, or anything like it ever again?”
“I swear. Cross my heart.” He smiled, knowing I was forgiving him.
“Okay. I do forgive you. People make mistakes, some worse than others, but we all do it.”
“Thanks Jess, and I sweat nothing like it will ever happen again.” I knew he was sincere when he said it.

“Good.” I smiled and out my arms out, “Can I have a hug?”
“Oh. Of course.” Branden gave me a tight hug, then pulled away.
“Okay. Now lets go back inside and bring you back to the table that you belong at.”
“Sounds good to me.” He smiled, as we walked back inside.
