Chapter 6
They glared at each other and both of them moved at the same time. Black dodged a punch from Ice and caught her hand, then he pushed Ice's left leg off balance with his own, causing Ice to nearly fall over, but she regained balance quickly and pulled her hand out of Black's grasp. Then she kicked him, and Black clutched his stomach. Ice stepped in front of Black while Sky walked up behind him, and by the time Black realized what had happened, Ice and Sky had brought their arms together, hitting his neck hard, and a loud crack sounded, then Black fell to the ground, dead. Both of them pulled out a notepad and over their shoulders, I can see them write down:
Target: Black, ex-assasin, Rinom
Death Confirmation: Confirmed
Time of Death: 05.18 p.m., September 13, 20XX
Then Sky staggered a little and collapsed. Ice caught him right on time and put his arm around her shoulders. "Hospital." she said, and the twins nodded, then they started walking.
"Well, for the time being, he's gonna be alright, but I suggest he stays here for the night, since his wounds might open up again." the doctor said, and Ice replied, "Take care of him, then, he's in your hands." Ice said, and the doctor nodded. Then I asked, "Uhm, excuse me, Doctor, I came here before with my mom, how is she?" He looked at me and, after finally recognizing me, he said sadly, "Sorry, Miss, but your mother died just a few hours ago. Her spine's broken."
I stayed silent for the rest of the night, and the girls didn't seem to mind about that, and thankfully, Sky could get out of hospital the next day, thanks to his quick recovery. We returned right after and Mr Carlos didn't seem surprised when he saw Sky's wound. He merely sighed. "Put your head in the job, Sky. That's all I need to say. You need to forget about the past." he said, then he left. Sky doesn't look surprised or taken aback in any way, but he did sighed and seemed to be deep in thought. I wanted to ask what happened, but the tension is too heavy I can barely breathe. In the end, I decided to just leave.
