Sequel: Keep Me Crazy.
Status: I'm working on a sequel.

Your Last.

We've been friends, now for a while

I watched as Georgie sat across the room tapping her fingers on her thigh as she waited for me to finish this interview. Georgie was never known for her patients, and when I finally finished this interview she would probably let me know how long I made her wait.
I felt Niall nudge my side telling me to pay attention to the interview.
"So who is single?" I looked up at the blonde who was asking us the question that we literally got during every single interview. I watched Niall shoot his hand up with no hesitation, and then Harry put his hand up.
"I've got a girlfriend," Louis said smiling.
"Same here," Zayn said speaking up.
I then once again zoned out looking over at Georgie who seemed to be lost in her phone now. I was wondering what she was looking at on her phone that she looked so interested in.
"What about you Liam?" I heard the blonde ask.
"I'm single," I sounded almost hesitant saying it. There was probably going to be a slew of rumors going around that I was seeing someone all based on the fact that I hesitated.
"You don't sound so sure about that?" the interview said picking up on the fact I hesitated.
"Oh I'm single." The only reason I hesitated was because I kept thinking of Georgie like I always did. For some reason that girl always seemed to consume my thoughts.
"Well I think we're out of time," the blonde interviewer said looking into the camera.
The second she stood up me and the rest of the lads took that as our queue to stand up.
"It was nice meeting you lads," the blonde said giving us a smile.
"Nice meeting you too," Harry said putting his hand out. I could tell that Harry was trying to chat up the lady that had to have been at least twenty-five. She was just his type of girl. A blonde with a fit body and just enough older then him.
I didn't bother standing around and watching Harry chat up the interviewer. I walked over to where Georgie was sitting on the couch.
"You sure mucked up that interview," she said giving me a laugh.
"Thanks," I couldn't help but roll my eyes at her comment.
"You just seemed distracted," she spoke as she put her phone into her front pocket of her trousers.
"I just couldn't pay attention to save my life," I said shoving my hands in my pocket. "Why don't we go grab some lunch?" I asked reach down and picking her purse off the ground to hand it to her.
"That sounds like a lovely idea," she said as I handed her her purse.
The two of us walked down the hall towards the exit of the building. We didn't get very far before I heard someone running behind us. I turned around to see one of our body guards Peter behind us.
"Peter I see you're joining us," I said as I opened the door and held it for Georgie.
"They would probably prefer if you didn't die from being mobbed by a million girls," she said with a chuckle. I couldn't help but love Georgie's personality. She was never one to cut me any slack and I needed that.
"Management would murder me if you got hurt on my watch," Peter said walking right behind us.
"Where are we going to eat?"Georgie said as I watched her put her hands in her coat pockets.
"I was thinking we should just go to that coffee shop at the end of the street." Before she even had time to respond there was a group of about ten girls standing in front of us. I didn't even letting them bother to ask if they wanted pictures before I ask, "Would you ladies like pictures?" The moment I spoke it looked like they had all got some of the best news in their lives. I watched as they all shook their heads rapidly.
"I'm going to step aside, yea?" Georgie said tapping me on the shoulder.
After taking two pictures I looked over at Georgie to see she had a smile on her looking at me. I took another photo with a brunette when she asked, "is that girl your girlfriend?" I think I felt my heart stop at the question. I probably wouldn't have freaked out so bad on the inside if Georgie was standing right there.
"Erm no," I said stuttering.
"No need to worry ladies I'm just his best mate. We've been best friends since we were fourteen," she said with a slight laugh at the fact that people assumed we were a couple.
I hated the fact she put me in the friends zones. I felt as if I didn't even stand a chance with her.
As soon as I finished taking pictures Georgieand I started walking towards the the coffee shop. I looked back to see Peter right behind us with a smile on his face.
"Georgie can you go get us a table please? I need to talk to Peter real quick," I said as I gave he a smile.
"Yeah sure," she said as she opened the door.
"Peter I really need to have lunch alone with Georgie," I said the moment I knew Georgie couldn't hear.
"Okay, Liam can I ask why?"
I looked at the ground and shoved my hands in my pockets, "I want to tell her how I feel about her."
"Bout time," he said giving me a smile.
"Yeah I know."
"Good luck Liam," he said patting me on the back.
As I walked inside I looked around to find Georgie sitting in a booth in the corner. She was staring at the menu intently, could tell she was having a hard time deciding what to order.
"Where's Peter?" She asked looking up as I sat across from her.
"He told me he was going to go grab some coffee at Starbucks," I lied.
"Liam you are a horrible liar," she said raising her eyebrow as she looked down at her menu again.
"I'm not a horrible liar," I said grabbing my menu. "Also I'm not lying."
I felt bad for lying but I didn't want to come right out and tell her I was in love with her. I should of known that I couldn't lie to her, she knew me to well. She knew pretty much everything about me.
"You are quite cute when you try to cover up that you're lying," she said as she sat her menu down. I didn't say anything I just blushed at the fact that she called me cute. I don't think I'll ever know how she manages to get me so flustered. "What are you getting to eat?"
"I'm thinking a cheeseburger," I said messing with my hair.
"I'm thinking about getting the same thing."
"Great minds think a like," I said smiling.
"That's very true," I watched her as she bit her lip and closed her menu. "So what's the real reason Mr. Payne that you got Peter not to come to lunch with us?" she asked raising her eyebrow.
"I told you he went to get coffee." I said looking down at the table.
"Liam Payne once again you are lying to me. You can't make eye contact when you are lying," she said almost laughing. I should know that I can't get away with lying to her. "Tell me what you're hiding."
"What do you want me to say?" I said looking up into her blue eyes. "Do you want the to tell you that I sent Peter away to get coffee so I could tell you how I really feel about you?" I held my brown eyes locked on her icy blue ones.
"What do you mean how you really feel about me?"
"I mean I asked him to go get coffee so I could confess to you that I'm in love with you. So I could tell you that you seem to consume my every waking thought. That when I should be paying attention in interviews I'm usually thinking about you." I took a deep breath. "God I want to be the one you that you text every night about how your day was, and I want to be the one who gets to kiss you just because I feel like kissing you. I also want to be the last person who get to kiss you." I stared at me with a shocked look on her face. I felt my heart sink when she just stares at me. I should have known that she didn't feel the same way about me. "Can you please say something?"
She just continued to stare. "Wow," was all she said.
"That makes me feel great. Wow I should have known you didn't feel the same way," I said standing up. I couldn't sit there and face her anymore.
"Where are you going?" she asked staring at me.
"Away from here. I'm gonna try to forget this ever happened."
"Liam," was all she said before grabbing my wrist and pulling me closer to her before crashing her lips into mine. I couldn't believe how perfect her lips felt against mine. They felt so soft and tastes like strawberries.
"What were you going to say?" I asked as we pulled away slowly.
"I was going to say I love you too," she said before pressing her lips to my cheek. "So what happens now?" That was a great question, I hadn't thought about what would happen after I told her how I felt.
"What do you want to happen?" I asked sitting back down.
"Do you really want a relationship?" she asked sitting down across from me. I knew why she was asking me, she knew how busy I was and how rarely I was home.
"Honestly I really want a relationship with you," I said reaching across from the table and grabbed her hand softly.
"Liam what if we don't work together?" That was one of the questions I had no clue how to answer. I wanted to think we could last forever and one day get married and have kids, but the truth was there is a chance that might not happen.
"I think we should at least try," I said rubbing a circle lightly on the top of her hand with my thumb.
"Then lets try this, but Liam I want you to promise me no matter what happens we'll stay mates."
I gave her a smile and said, "of course no matter what happens we'll stay friends." She gave me a smile letting me know she was telling me the truths.
