Shaken and Stirred

Baby and a Wedding

Screams erupted through the car.

“Fuck! Fuck!” Gerard screamed, listening to screams of Raven. Her face was red and she flung her head back screaming again, “Crap! Shit! What do I do?”

“Go to the fucking hospital, Gerard!” Raven screamed at him. Gerard nodded and tried to give a light-hearted laugh,

“Um…I never got my license.”

“What!” Raven barked. Gerard tried to laugh sheepishly, all Raven did was scream and yell, “Get Frank!”

“Okay! Okay!” He muttered, running out of the car. He ran for the door, his heart beating 1000 times an hour, “Frank!” He called, “Frank! Where the fuck are you?”

“Right here man, relax.” Frank said, sighing hard. He was walking in the house with a shirt on, boxers and his guitar. How pleasant,

“Get some pants on, Ras is having her baby!” Gerard barked. Frank’s hazel eyes widened and he dropped his guitar running up the stairs to get some pants. In less than a minute he was down with pants on and out the door,

“Where are keys?”

“In the ignition.” Gerard said, getting into the back seat. He sat next to Raven and petted her sweating brow gently. He tried to smile at her, but she was going threw the most excruciating pain that she had ever felt.

“Go, Frank!” She moaned, as soft tears fell out of her eyes. Frank gave a short nod and backed out of the driveway, going about ninety miles per hour, “If we ever find Pete again, we are going to kill him for making me hurt like this.”

“Fine with me!” Frank said. Gerard smiled softly and held her hand, whispering,

“You will be fine okay. The baby will be fine, and we will be a family.”

“Family,” She repeated, “of course.” Raven’s green eyes softened and she let out another scream of pain, “Okay, Ardy, this baby isn’t going to wait for the hospital. Take my pants off and I’m going to start the breathing exercises.” Gerard did exactly what he was told.

“This is like that birth movie back in high school, except this is real life,” Frank mumbled, making a left turn.

“Of course this is real life, stupid!” Raven barked. Once her pants were off, she spread her legs as wide as she could in the small car. Raven started her breathing exercises and then Gerard started to do them with her. Raven glared and he just laughed a bit,

“Trying to make you feel better.” Gerard said,

“Not helping!”

“Shit!” Gerard cried,

“What! What is it?” Frank asked, turning his head around,

“Turn around and watch the road!” Raven and Gerard barked simultaneously. Frank pouted, then made another turn,

“I see the baby’s head. What do I do? Fuck! Goddammit!”

“We are almost at the hospital,” Frank announced. The car ride was a mixture of screaming, yelling and blood. By the time Frank got the group to the hospital, the sounds of a healthy baby girl’s cries were heard. Raven took a deep breath and lied her head back, smiling.

“How are you, Grace. We’ve been expecting you.” Gerard said, looking at the baby girl with eyes like her mother and blond hair like her father. Frank got out of the car and ran inside to get the doctors; Raven smiled and kissed Gerard on the lips,

“Take good care of her, while I take a nap okay?” She whispered. Gerard nodded, smiling again of course.

“I’m so nervous. Does this look right? Am I wearing the bow tie right? Frank don’t fuck this up, okay?” Gerard mumbled looking in the mirror. Frank gave his high pitched laughter again,

“Gerard, you will be okay.” Mikey said, tossing his older brother’s hair. Gerard gave a look of annoyance,

“You know that took me no brushing to get it like that! Fuck!” Gerard yelled again. He was dressed in a simple suit, with a bowtie and a white rose sticking out of the pocket. All of the boys were dressed identically, except for the white rose. A woman peeked her head in,

“Ready boys! Let’s get somebody married.” She announced excitedly.

“And get wasted afterwards!” Bob announced. Gerard just looked at him and it dawned on him that since he’s been with Raven, it has been over a year since he’s put alcohol to his lips. He smiled and turned to Bob,

“You can get drunk; I’m going to hang out with my wife.”

“Oh…and have another kid.” Ray said, smirking widely. Gerard shrugged and walked out of the door,

“Maybe.”

Once the boys were in place the standard wedding music was heard. A woman, with a vale covering her jade eyes walked down the isle. A baby’s gurgle was heard and she turned around waving to the little angel. The woman’s eyes connected with the mans and her eyes welled up with tears. This is it, she thought. I’m finally here. After all of that time, heartache, and pain, we made it, Gerard. We made it. She stepped up to the alter and Gerard put her veil back. The preacher said some things but Raven wanted more than nothing to say the ‘I do’s’. She reached over to grab Gerard’s and squeezed it gently, trying to convey to him that from now on, she would never let go him.

“Do you, Gerard Arthur Way take this woman to be your wife?” The preacher finally asked,

“I do.” Gerard said, his voice becoming choked up with tears.

“And do you, Raven Angela Sophia Wellington take this man to be your husband.” Raven looked at Gerard and smiled softly, tears of happiness falling down her face,

“I do. I do forever.” She answered,

“You may now kiss the bride,” Gerard grabbed her waist and pulled her in closely. Brown clashed with green, as their lips met in a kiss that they have both wanted for a long time now. The kiss broke apart and they turned to the congregation, filled with friends and a mother that was hurt a long time ago,

“I now pronounce you, Mrs. and Mr. Gerard Way.” The preacher finally said. Gerard let out a scream of joy with the crowd.

“Finally,” Gerard whispered to Raven, “Finally, I am happy.” She smiled softly and kissed him again,

“Me too.” And all the while, Grace never let out a single cry. Maybe she knew that her mother was happy. Maybe she knew that she was going to be in a home with so much love that she would burst. Maybe she knew that her parents happiness was on the line, but from that day Grace never let out a single cry.

The End.

Thank you so much for reading this and Getting Through Traffic. It took a lot of mental capacity for me to finish this story, because it could’ve gone on forever, but stories must end. Thank you for following Raven and Gerard’s relationship. Thank you for never giving up on them, or me.

Thank you so much,
