Decision and Choice Aren't the Same

I wait outside of my school. The frigid air blowing against my rosy cheeks

I put my beanie back on as I shivered in the cold and almost rainy weather

I picked up my phone and tried to dial the number again

"Wazzup this is Natalie but I can't get to my phone right now cuz I'm probably fixing my hair! Call me later or leave a message! Adios!"

I let out a large groan as I hung up.

My shoulders slumped as I sat on the steps by the entrance of the school

"AUUGH!!! It's been 10 minutes!! Where is she!!"

Just then her car comes. A big black SUV.

I feel my face fill up with anger as I pull open the car door

"WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!?!?" I yell to her face

"Driving..."

"WELL DUH!!!"

She sighs

"Sorry but you're 10 minutes late and it's freaking freezing...I could've frozen to death! Or even been raped!" I say while trying to hold in my laughter

She's silent

"And were you really JUST driving?" I ask

She's silent for a minute but finally speaks up

"N-No...I was at the construction lot..."

"What the hell could you possibly be doing there?!?!"

"Jamming out to Some Ke$ha..."

I start to giggle

"Hey...you can pay my ticket if you want!"

"Heck no! I've been saving for a car after I got my lisense last month!"

She laughs as she turns the radio on

Just then we exchange looks and start singing mid song

~~ripped jeans skin was showin

We sing at the same time

-~HEY I JUST MET YOU! AND THIS IS CRAZY! BUT HERE'S MY NUMBER! SO CALL ME MAYBE

We both sing while laughing

Then my phone rings so I turn down the radio while my friend keeps singing

"Hello?" I answer

She tries to see who it is but I stop her and she yells

"Yea...yeah...no...that was Natalie" I reply in the phone

She finally sees who it is and smiles

"Yes! Yea I'm on my way...wait... What? No I'm not going to bring tacos!" I yell into the phone.

My friend who was driving the car started giggling.

"I know...okay Snowflake...bye" I say as I hang up.

"Come on zoey!"

"What?"

"He's totally gonna ask you out today! All of us know that he's loved you ever since we met them...how old we're we like...5...6? Either way, i know it pains you to see him with other girls..."

"He does not like me! We're just friends nat!"

"Okay...okay...that's what you think Zoe but he's gonna ask you out and you'll owe me a box of fruit loops!"

"Okay! Fine! If he asks me out ill buy you fruit loops" I agree as she pulls into a drive way

I walk out of the car and Natalie smiles.

"Prepare to my me some freaking fruit loops" she says evilly.

I start laughing as I knock on the door.

"Prepare for ME to NOT buy YOU your dumb cereal"

She starts giggling as the door opens.

"Hey guys!" A familiar Irish accent greets me

"Hi Niall!" I say while hugging him

"Holy cow! It's cold!"

"Hehe I know!"

Nat and I walk into nialls big house.

Louis is sitting on the couch holding a water gun.

"Uhhm...Louis why do you have a water gun?" I ask very surprised.

"B-because I can!" He yells while squirting me.

I smile at his randomness.

Backstory:

Natalie and I had been friends forever. She's like a sister to me. So one day we were about 5 years old and we were at the park by my house in London, Britan. I was sitting on the swing and next to me, was a weird kid...he was probably a year older than me. He was singing a song that I knew. I started to sing it with him and he smiled back at me. From there we were best friends. The boy... his name is niall james horan. We went to school together for all of our life. He was so protective.
Once, when we were in the 6th grade, there was a boy that was being rude to me. He called me names. Very bad things. Niall didn't like how the mean boy did that, so he beat him up. Natalie and I were so impressed! But the principal wasn't so niall got suspended for a week.
It wasn't until high school when Niall started to pursue his live-long dream of becoming a professional singer. He tried out for the X-factor.
When he found out that he'd made it to the next round, he was so happy! Natalie cried when he made it cause...well...she's a crybaby!
Niall kept making it to the next round until Simon decided to put Niall in a group with four other boys...those five boys then became the band known as one direction...

Now back to the story!

"Don't mess up! Don't mess up! Don't mess up!" Harry yelled in my face as Nat and I were playing call of duty on their X-Box

"Shut up!"

After a long game, I won

"IM A WINNER!" I yelled as I got up and did a funny little dance

"Oh please," Niall said jokingly

"What's that?" I said sarcastically

"We'll...uhm...I could"

"You. Can't. Win" I smile while tapping his nose

"Watch me!" He said while grabbing a controller and playing against Zayn

I sat and slumped into the couch tired

"Zoey! Zoey! Zoey!" Louis yelled while jumping onto my stomach and laying on my lap

"Ugh!!!" I grunted while pushing him off as he fell to the floor and made a face

"Owwwiieee!!! That hurt zoey "

"Sowwy lou..."

He started laughing

"Hey Natalie..." He says while grinning

"Huh?"

"Wanna play a really fun game?"

"What is it?"

Louis looked at Liam and I and he gave us 'the eye'

Just then I knew exactly what he was talking about!

I grinned and looked at nat

" it's really fun! You gotta try it!" I yelled

Then Zayn got in on it

"Yeah! You're gonna love it! I've been waiting to do it!"

"Uhm okay"

---5 minutes later---

"NO ZOEY! NEVERMIND!" She yells as I push her into the closet

Louis and Liam are also pushing Zayn into the closet but Zayn is less reluctant

"7 minutes in heaven!" I call out when I finally manage to get her into the closet

We lock it as we walk into the living room

"That'll be...fun..." Harry says as we walk away

"Yeah!"

"When they come out, let's do truth or dare!"

Everyone else agrees as Niall checks his watch

"It's been 2 minutes"

"Hmmm"

"What?"

"Nothing...nothing...just, ya know, thinking" I say while going up to him from behind and wrapping my arms around his shoulders

"Zoey!"

"Ohmygod! What?"

"I'm hungies..."

I start laughing as I walk into the kitchen and grab a bag of chips

When I come back I throw it at his head as he smiles again

"7 minutes are up" Liam calls out as we walk over

I start opening the closet

"Hey guys seven minutes are ov- WOOOOAAAHHH BABY!!" I yell as the closet doors are wide open and the other boys gasp

I can see Nat and Zayn leaning against the wall of the closet...and they're making out!

"We'll I guess it was heaven!" I say surprised as I pull Natalie out of the closet

"Your turn!!" She yells while smiling as she and Zayn push me and Niall in the closet

"So..."

"Yeah"

He clears his throat

"You okay?"

"Yeah, it's just the claustrophobia is kicking in..."

"Niall...I've known you long enough to know that you aren't claustrophobic...now what's really wrong?"

"We'll...I gotta tell you something...but..."

"But?!?!"

"...but...I'm afraid that it'll ruin our friendship..."

"No my little Irish snowflake...we've been friends for like EVER and nothing that you say or do will ruin our close friendship"

"Well...zoey... I love you! I always have and I always will! Ever since we met 12 years ago and I saw your face, you were the most beautiful girl I've ever seen...I-I just wish I wasn't so...famous...so I could have a normal life with you... It's just that I love everything about you! I love your sparkling eyes...your luscious lips...your hair, which by the way smells really good...I just wanna know, will you be my princess?"

I start to tear up

"Ohh! Zoey I'm sorry I didn't mean to-"

"No Niall, that was beautiful but..."

"But what?"

"I...I need some time to think about that" I say with a large smile

He wipes the tears from my face with his thumb as He hugs me

Just at that moment the door opens

"K! YOU'RE DONE!!!" Louis screams in my face

"Augh you spit in my face!"

"Sorry" he says while wiping the spit off of my cheek

I start laughing as I walk out of the closet with Niall behind me

"AND NOW.!.!.!" Harry yells

"Leeyum!!!"

"Huh?"

"Truth...or dare"

"Uhmm...I'll start easy so truth"

"Hmmm...do you think that Zayn and Nat would be the PERFECT couple?"

"Uhmm...duh..everyone knows that they're perfect!"

We all laugh except Natalie...she's blushing

"Haha okay! Niall"

"I'll go for a dare!"

"I dare you t-" he starts saying but he gets cut off by Natalie who is whispering something into his ear

Liam laughs at what her good idea was

"Okay, okay, okay, Niall I dare you to kiss zoey...on the lips" Liam says with a smirk

Niall turns to face me

He gives me the 'oh well' look

We lean in and kiss each other. It's like...an atomic bomb...fireworks...dynamite... Anything explosive! It was like the first bite of cake! Sweet and long...but passionate

Harry whistled

We finally break apart

"I- I think I bit your lip" I said embarrassingly

"Hehe yeah it's okay"

"You're a good kisser..." He whispers to me as I smile

"Uhh...oh...zoey..." He said still caught up with the kiss

"Uhh...dare"

I admit I liked the kiss...infact I might have even loved it...I somehow felt like I wanted it...like I needed it...it was great and I think that sooner or later...I'll consider being nialls 'princess'

"Okay, uhm, I dare you to prank call Paul!"

"Haha! But snowflake, I think he'll know it's us considering we prank call him a lot..."

"Eh...oh well"

That's what I like about him! He's so carefree...laid back, I should say.

"Ok ill do it"

I dial Paul's phone number

The boys keep giggling like 8 year old girls

"Shhh" I shush them

Paul- hello?

Me- omygod! Is this Paul?!?!

I speak in a very childish voice

Paul- uhh yes?

Me- well I just love 1D!! Can you get me tickets and backstage passes?!?!

Paul- Zoey...I know it's you...

Me- awhhh crap...

I saw with my normal voice

Paul- nice try

Me-bye Paul

I hang up as I frown at Niall

And he laughs like crazy which makes me giggle because he has a cute yet funny laugh

"Haha..okay I- hahahah uhh Natalie..." I say trying not to laugh again

"Yeh?"

"Uhm truth or-or dare?" I

"Truth" she replies blankly

"Alrighty...do you like Zayn?"

She blushes

"I-I love him..."

Zayn looks at her and smiles

"I love you too..." He replies with a smile

"That's sweet...by the way Natalie I owe you a box of fruit loops"

"YESSSS!!!" She screams with her hand high in the air

"Aaaauuuuggghhh!!!!!" Louis screams

"Whhhhaaaaatttt!!!!" I mimick

"This is getting bbbbooorrrriiinnngg"

"What should we do?" Liam asks

Just then harrys face lights up and he jumps off of the couch onto Louis back

"Let's singgg!" He cheers

"Okay" everyone agrees

I run to the music room and grab a guitar

I run out with an acoustic over my neck

"What song?!?!" Natalie asks

"Hmmm..."

I start to play a well known tune and I wait for Liam to start it off

They all smile as Liam starts to sing

"
