Stained Glass

In the kingdom of Lemoria there lived a young girl, a princess held high in a castle. She was not trapped or held against will but she was protected. Her father the King was very wary of the people around him. While he ruled fairly he was skeptical of the people’s intentions. He kept his daughter in the castle never letting her venture to far from its walls. The giant courtyard that butted up against the forest was her sanctuary. It was all she knew of an outside world. From high in her perch of the great tree that took root in the middle of the courtyard she could see the tops of buildings of the town below. This was her escape from the palace walls, a brief look at the world around her, just out of reach. If only there was a way out of the walls, a way to see the world that lay beyond her confinement.
