Black Damask

After I was in my thoughts for a while I thought it would be late now but I don’t want to move away from this spot or move away from how close I am to Anna, it feels like a dream and I don’t want to wake up.
“I guess we should head home,” I suggested
“We don’t want to be out after curfew.” Anna nodded in agreement. The ride home was quiet, other than the music, but it was a comfortable kind of quiet.
“I had a good night,” I said as Anna unlocked her front door, she nodded in agreement again.

“Thanks for everything. I guess I’ll see you in the morning then?” I pulled Anna into a hug and then walked away to my car; I hopped in and backed out her drive way driving back to my house. When I pulled into my driveway, I pulled out the keys to my car and started to beat my head against the steering wheel;
“Why do I have to be so fucking stupid?” I yelled at myself
“Of course someone like Anna would never go for a guy like me! I’m so fucking stupid! UGGH” I yelled at myself again, after having the little argument to myself I hopped out of my car rubbing my head realizing how much it hurts now. I guess this is what love does to you? I walked to my bedroom and stripped to just my underwear and went into my bed, I was almost asleep when I said to myself;
“Anna why you torturing me?” I let the sleep overpower me and closed my eyes. I woke up to my alarm telling me I should wake up to go to school but right now I couldn’t be bothered, I didn’t want to face Anna when I know all that is going to happen is that I will get myself hurt even more. I got dressed and had some breakfast then got into my car to drive to school, I got out of my car I saw Anna giggling and talking to Angelo with the other guys.
“Hey Ghost” Chris said pulling me into a man hug
“Hey” I said looking down onto the ground, the bell rang and we were all walking to our first classes.
“Hey Anna, can I talk to you?” I asked nervously
“Of course you can, now what do you want to talk about?” she asked smiling at me
“I had fun last night and was wondering if you wanted to hang out some more sometime this week?” I asked
“Of course!” Anna said, hugging me.
It’s been a week so far and I’ve taken Anna back out to the café where we first went, to the movies to see a movie that Anna wanted to watch and back to the abandoned park which now is our little spot. I know that Angelo has been to Anna’s place a lot but I’m really starting to hope he doesn’t like her the way I like her.
Josh, Ryan, Angelo and I were at the normal table we sit at during lunch while Ricky and Chris went to get Anna from the last class she had before lunch. We were waiting at the table for a while until Ryan got a text message from Chris,
“Chris said that Anna has gotten into a fight with Casey and that they are out of the school grounds and are about to talk to her so we’ll meet them at the place we always go” we nodded and grabbed our stuff as we were walking through the hall Casey came up to me.
“I don’t see why you keep on keeping that stupid whore around” Casey said latching herself onto me
“She’s not a stupid whore unlike you, go find someone else to fuck and to be honest she is perfect for me” I said pushing her away from me, she turned around and started running away bawling her eyes out.
“Fuck yeah Ghost! Go tell the whore your girl is perfect for you!” Angelo said high fiving me
“…Wait, I thought you liked Anna…” I said confused
“No way man, I knew you liked Anna and I just wanted to see for myself why you liked her so much and to see if she was good for you whom she is so, go get her man!” Angelo said slapping my back
“Thanks” I said smiling at him, I’m so glad he doesn’t like Anna as I thought he did.
