And when I lay on the ground for the last time I’ll use this fading breath of mine to say your name just those beautiful syllables that curl around my tongue and remind me of all the eternities we’ve had and the many we won’t

It makes me think of when we met you took my hand and told me “it’s okay don’t worry I’m here” kind of like what you’re saying now begging things to be all right as you kiss my chilling lips such a sick way to begin and end

But please don’t worry because my love for you will not decay like my body will it will last until the world fades away and probably even after that so don’t fret because I’ll wait for you my dear right here and I’ll meet you when you’re ready but take your time please take as long as you need I promise I won’t leave you behind

I never have and I never will and I promise that this will be our last goodbye but will not be the last time we are together
