On Letting Go

o1

She disregarded all of the rules anyone ever attempted to embed into her mind. Instead of being absorbed, the words slipped through her head without even the slightest consideration. It was no surprise that high school didn't suit her well, even though she was beyond intelligent and had what the counselor called "enormous potential". She immediately disregarded it with a roll of her dark hazel eyes, and spend the entirety of her high school career avoiding any kind of work. It was pointless, she explained, to learn things that were useless in the real world. So naturally, she guided herself smoothly, without any issue whatsoever, through what she called "the real world". However, there was a time in her life in which things couldn't be brushed off by her careless attitude. There was a point in her life where her confidence wavered, and everything became out of her control. It was all because of a boy. The boy that now meant everything.
