Come back, back down now, I'm drifting away.
"How much longer will she be in here..?"
"I don't really know.. We still have no clue what even caused her to slip into a coma."
I heard a long exasperated sigh.
"Can't you give her some medicine though..?"
"Not until we find out why this happened. Although, we do have an estimate of how long it will be until she wakes up."
"When ?"
The voice sounded commanding, yet concerned.
"Sometime this week, we're hoping."
"You said that two months ago."
"Yes, but she's responding a lot better now."
"I hope to God she wakes up."
"We're doing everything we can."
The door slammed in the background and footsteps were nearing me. Someone's warm hand slipped mine into theirs.
"Baby, wake up."
Austin.
"Baby, I can't do this without you anymore. I can't go on knowing how the last time we actually talked was.. I just can't."
The door slowly opened and never closed.
"Man, we have to go pack for tour."
Alan.
"I can't leave her like this.."
The door lightly shut and Alan made his way to us.
"Austin, we have put off 3 months of touring.. We can't do this anymore. I'm sorry."
"Give me 5 more minutes.. Please."
He sighed, and I heard the door open and close. Austin pressed his lips to my forehead.
"I'll be back, Em's.. I promise."
He squeezed my hand and I used all the force I had in me to squeeze his back. Just so he can know I'm okay.. for now.
Come on..
It really shouldn't be this hard.
I feel so trapped and helpless.

"Oh my God. Doctors !"
Austin shot up, and left my bedside.
"What is it, Austin ?"
"She squeezed my hand back !"
"This is great !"
The doctor proclaimed loudly. The door opened with a bunch of people crowding in.
"Austin, what happened ! ?"
Tino.
"Is she okay ?"
Phil.
"Guys, she's doing better !"
"That's great !"
Aaron.
"Oh goodness.."
Alan.
"What's got your panties in a bunch, Alan ? She's doing better !"
"That's exactly what it is, Phil. Now Austin isn't going to want to leave even more."
I heard an upset sigh, whom I'm guessing belonged to Austin.
"I mean.. Guys, how can I not want.........."
Then everything went black.
