Don't Make This Easy

After she did a couple meet and greets, she headed back to her bus. She had to get out of her stage clothing, usually she just wanted to relax and watch sappy love movies with a big bowl of ice cream. But not tonight, no tonight was different for her. Once she was changed she walked her way off the bus and went over to where her band members held a conversation with The Used. Her band members smiled at her, as she approached them.

"Woohoo Jasey Rae coming out to play!" Ryan the bassist said smiling. She laughed

"Yes sir, yes sir. It's party time!"

Bert laughed "You would think that after that performance she deserved some party time."

"Thank you, I think i'm going to grab a drink. I see a nice tall handsome young man over there." She said with a wink before walking away from the now laughing boys. She walked herself over to the young man that she had met earlier today. She walked up behind him, and she covered his eyes with her tiny hands.

"Guess who?" She said standing on the tip of her feet, he was 6'1 and she was barely 5'4.

He laughed and began to think, "Hmmm, Jesus? Maybe Zombie? Have you come to eat my brains?!"

She couldn't help but laugh at his answers, "No, Jack I want nothing to do with your brain." Releasing her hands that covered his eyes. He turned around to face her and smiled

"I had to make sure, I need that precious thing. Great performance today by the way!" He said winking at her.

She smiled "Thanks to you! If you never heard me singing that song, I would have never even thought about singing it tonight."

He smiled "Well then i'm glad that i was creeping backstage!"

"Yes, thank goodness for your creeping. So where are your band mates?" She asked curious to why he was alone.

He pointed in the direction of the fire to a group of guys that were drinking and laughing "Those losers over there, i just came to refill. Come on i'll go take you to meet them!" He said passing her a Smirnoff, he then grabbed her tiny hand in his and dragged her off to meet the people he called family. It all happened so fast that she couldn't abject to it.

"Guys! Look what i found!" He said excited as the three boys turned around. She quickly recognized the one who had approached her after her show.

"Jack! What did we tell you about picking up random people, poor girl she looks scared and lost! What's your name sweetie? Do you have a number we can call?" Said one of the guys, She just laughed

"Rian!" Jack said laughing. "This is Jasey Rae, she went on before us!"

"Well nice to meet you Jasey Rae, i'm Rian from All Time Low and this is Zack. And our lead singer Alex." He said going down the line of boys.

She smiled "Nice to meet you guys, i'm Jasey Rae obviously." She turned to Alex "Thank you for the compliment earlier it was very reassuring."

Alex smiled "No problem, how come we never meet you before? This is our fourth concert, and we've never seen you at the bonfires." they all nodded their head as they agreed with him.

"Well you see, umm good question i usually just stay on my bus after we perform. I guess you can say i'm anti social." She said laughing.

They smiled "Well it's good to see you out and about, but i think you picked the wrong company. Jack is weird, maybe psycho even." Zack said laughing.

Alex nodded, she smiled "Jack is amazing, he's not weird just unique." She pinched his cheeks, it was odd how comfortable she felt with them.

"YEAH ZACK I'M UNIQUE!!" Jack yelled as everyone laughed.

"I love you baby! it's okay." Alex said pulling Jack away from her and into a hug planting a kiss on his cheek.

Jasey couldn't help but laugh at their bromance "Wow, is this a bromance or true love?"

"True love baby!" Alex said smiling "So sorry to break your heart."

She fake gasped "How will I ever go on, I thought we were going to get married!" Placing her right hand on her heart "My heart, it's broken now"

Jack laughed "It's okay Alex is a side thing, shh don't tell him." He winked.

"I heard that JACK!" Alex said.

Jasey laughed as the two argued, and Rian and Zack trying to separate them. She then paused when she felt her phone vibrate. She pulled it out to see a text from her boyfriend. She read it quick and rolled her eyes simply placing the phone back into her pocket. Now noticing the boys looking at her, she smiled. "So the arguing has stopped? I won't be a home wrecker, sorry Jack."

Alex smiled at the trouble girl who was trying to hid her pain with a smile "So tell me Jasey Rae, How did you get into music?"

She cleared her throat "Umm I was discovered in a coffee shop, I was performing when a scout saw me. And well here I am, this is actually my first tour."

"We took your touring virginity. Woohoo!" Rian yelled. She laughed and moved her bangs with her left hand. They stared at the ring on her finger.

"Awe man you're engaged?!" Zack asked, she quickly looked down at her left hand and laughed.

"Oh god no!" She lifted her hand and pointed to the ring. "This was my mother's wedding ring."

Alex looked at her "Was?"

"Yeah umm my parents passed away..." She said looking at her ring. The only memory that was left of her, "She wanted me to have it, so my father gave it to me when he passed. I haven't token it off since.." He voice trailed off remembering that day.

"Awe Fuck, you made her cry!" Jack said hugging the poor girl who now had tears in her eyes. She didn't even realize it, she quickly heard Alex apologize

"Oh my gosh Jasey i'm so sorry i didn't know, i'm really sorry." He repeated over and over again. She was what felt to be numb, she hated remembering even though it had been two years already. It still felt as if it happened yesterday, She heard her drummer Nick's voice.

"Jase! Jase, are you okay? Fuck guys what did you do to her?" Nick said to the boys who were now surrounding her.

Jack pointed to Alex "His big mouth asked her about her ring!" Alex protested

"I'm sorry! Fuck how was i suppose to know?"

Jasey snapped out of it "Wow i'm okay, sorry Alex you didn't know. Don't blame yourself, I just space out like that sometimes. It's still a fresh cut,"

They all looked at the girl, who was now smiling. Her tears were gone, her face as if she never let them fall.

"ALRIGHT GUYS WE'RE HEADING OUT!" Yelled their manager, they all turned to where the voice was coming from and nodded. Jasey turned back to look at the boys and smiled.

"I'll see you guys at our next stop then?" She said walking away with Nick but was pulled back by a hand that had grabbed her right arm.

Her head quickly turned to look at the person causing her curls to whip around with her movement. "Hmm?" She asked at the man who held her arm hostage.

"Let's exchange numbers, i mean we are only a bus away but it gets lonely on there." Alex said with a smile.

"HEY I FOUND HER FIRST!" Jack complained who was now next to Alex.

She laughed "Let me see your phone," Alex quickly gave her his and she punched in the number. "Pass it around, i had a great time with you guys." She smiled

"JAAAASSSSSEEEYYYY" Paul her guitarist yelled from the bus door as he motioned her to hurry. She turned to the boys smiled and ran off into her bus where her band awaited her.

Alex smiled as she entered the bus, he couldn't help but stare. What a girl she was, she was different. She was a mystery to him... He was brought out of his thought as Rian patted his back "Come on man, you'll see her in the next stop." Rian laughed shaking his head at his band mate. As they both headed towards their tour bus, awaiting the next stop.
