Long Distance Relationship and Love Close By

I sat on the bed, and closed my laptop. Cassie was out at Frank’s hotel room, so I was left home with Renee, her older sister. Johnny, her brother, was at work.
‘’Be down in a second for lunch,’’ Yelled Renee, her long, brunette hair falling over her shoulders. Her hazel eyes and comforting smile suited her so well.

‘’Yep!’’ I yelled as I went to get changed.
‘’Where is your boy tonight, I hope he is a gentleman,’’
I bolted over to my phone, and answered the call.

‘’Hey there, Sky speaking,’’ I said, waiting for the person’s reply.
‘’Hi, it’s Gee,’’ He spike quickly.
‘’Hey there!’’ I replied, sounding really excited.
‘’I was wondering whether you wanted to come to Starbucks for lunch with Mikey and I?’’ Gerard asked.
‘’Yeah, of course!’’ I exclaimed, ‘’I’ll be there in about 15.’’ I stated.
I said goodbye, and hung up.

I bolted down the small set of stairs, and tried to find Renee.
‘’Renee!’’ I called, looking for her.
‘’In the kitchen,’’ She replied.

I strolled into the kitchen, and told her I was having lunch elsewhere.
‘’You serious?’’ She asked, sadly.
I nodded.
‘’Looks like you are on high demand!’’ She chuckled.
Not knowing what to say, I stood in front of her, blankly.
‘’Ah, ok, that’s cool with me!’’ She exclaimed.

Starbucks. The one place everybody could go, and feel cool. No matter who the heck they were, what they wore, or how they looked. It was awesome.

Gerard and Mikey had arrived before me, and had saved a seat for me.
I walked over to the small table, pulled out the chair, and sat down.
‘’Hey,’’ Said Mikey, smiling.
I waved, and smiled back. ‘’So how are you both?’’
‘’Pretty great,’’ Said Gerard. Mikey nodded.

‘’So, what do you want to eat?’’
I thought for a minute.
‘’A hot chocolate and a brownie, for old times sake,’’ I replied.
Mikey beamed, and went to order our food.

‘’Sky?’’ Gerard said, rubbing his neck.
I looked up at him, and nodded.
‘’I’m really glad things turned out the way they did.’’ He stated.
‘’Yeah, same here.’’ I said in agreement.
‘’But… why didn’t you tell anybody?’’ Gee asked curiously. He cared too much in my opinion, but I guess that was good.
‘’I couldn’t. I didn’t have a choice, Gerard,’’ I answered

‘’Well, I know it’s too late to be saying this, but you should of told someone.’’ He said, looking concerned.
‘’I realize that now. But even if I was to tell someone, who in the fuck could stop him?’’
‘’Me. I would of. I would have been over here in a blink, because…’’ He stuttered, and his voice trailed off.

‘’Because what?’’ I asked.
‘’Because… Sky,’’ He continued, ‘’Sky, didn’t that kiss mean anything to you?’’
I didn’t say anything. To be honest, I had no idea what to say.
‘’Sky, it meant something to me. I… well, I really like you, Skyla.’’
Wow. I didn’t ever expect to hear that for a while, let alone from Gerard.

‘’Whoa. I… I didn’t see that coming!’’ I said, blushing.
‘’Well, its true. Do.. do you –‘’ Gerard was going to say something, but I cut him off.
‘’Before you say anything else…’’ I muttered.
He looked confused, and I leaned across the table, kissing him on the cheek.
‘’Ditto,’’ I said.
‘’Um… but… what… w-w-what about… I’m leaving next week.’’ He said.
‘’Yeah, I know.’’ I said bluntly.
