Summertime

Crushcrushcrush

Mikey's house was HUGE!
It was fucking massive, but I tried not to say anything about its oversized... Everything.
"Here we are!" Ray says, parking literally right outside the door.
"Thanks, Ray." Mikey says, leaning over. He stops just short of his face, staring into his eyes.
"Frankie." I hear a husky voice say, clearing his voice.
Gerard starts to pull me out of the car. I try my hardest to resist the heat that has travelled to my cheeks, but it's too late.
Luckily, Gerard didn't see.
As soon as we're in the house, Gerard turns around.
I, however, being the fucktard that I am, had my eyes on my converse, so I walk right into his chest.
Fuck he's tall, I think, staring up into his hazel eyes.
"Ray's probably gonna get laid."
I giggle.
"What?" Gerard asks, grabbing two beers outta the fridge.
He tosses one to me, and fortunately, I catch it.
"Nothing." I clear my throat, blushing. "Sorry."
He frowns.
"You blush a lot."
"You talk a lot." I say.
What the fuck, Frank? Why the fuck did I just say that? He doesn't even talk! He's said like four sentences since I met him!
Gerard stands still.
Crap! He's gonna get all offended now.
His face goes red.
Mikey is just walking in the door as Gerard collapses into fits of laughter, doubling over.
His laugh makes me jump.
It was so sudden and loud. Plus the fact that it sounded like a dying chicken.
"What the fuck is wrong with him?" Mikey asks.
"I.. I don't know. He just.. Starting laughing."
Mikey got a glass of water and told Gerard to calm down.
After his laughing fit, he sighed happily.
"Oh, God, Frankie."
"Frankie?"
He blushes.
"Ha! Now you blush!" I say, poking his side.
He squirms away. "I- I'm sorry. I meant to say Frank.."
"Sure." Mikey says, winking and nodding obviously, as of there was some big secret.
"Shut UP, Mikes!"
"Aww, see!" Mikey exclaims, practically jumping up and down.
"Ever since Gerard and I were small, we both did it, without realising we were!"
Since they were small? Wow, they've been friends long.
"Whenever we grew fond of someone, we nicknamed them!"
"Nickname?" I ask, almost nervous.
"Yeah. I became Mikes, Gerard became Gee."
"Gee." I giggle. "That's funny."
"Shut up! We were like, what? Mikes must have been about three and I was about six?"
"What? You guys have been friends for long!"
This time it was Mikeys turn to laugh.
"We're brothers." Gee whispers in my ear.
His breath tickled my ear, causing me to shiver.
"Oh. That explains it."
"What's so funny?" Gee asks, patting Mikey's back.
"I wouldn't be friends with you if we weren't related!"
I roll my eyes and chug my beer.
Yeah, I'm not 21 yet. But who gives a fuck? I'm eighteen now. Only three years to go. AND I have no parents.
Oh fuck! I have no parents. I have no where to stay.
"Fuck!" I jump up, taking out my
phone and turning it on.
"Have you guys gotta phone book?"
"What for?" Gee asks.
"I have to find a motel. I practically have no parents!"
"Oh. Yeah. A motel." Gerard says, his voice dropping.
"Oh, Frank. Fucking hell, just live here!"
"Would your parents mind?" I ask hopefully.
"Our parents? Our parents have split, are both workaholics and left poor Gee to look after me after he turned 21."
"What age are you?" I ask Mikey. Obviously younger. He looked around my age.
"18."
"High five bro. Same age."
"Your eighteen?" Gee exclaims.
"Umm, yeah. Why?"
"Oh.Just wondering."
"You thought I was like 16, didn't you?"
He blushes and stammers.
"I.. I thought you were 14."
This time it was MY turn to laugh. If only Gee could see me when I was 14. He'd have never wanted me to stay here! Would have kicked me out because of my dire personality. I've become more hyper over the years.
"Gee has never been good at guessing. Don't be offended. When Bobbert turned 18, Gee thought he was turning 20. Awkward, or what? Even got him a birthday card with a big 20 written on the front!"
"Bobbert?" I giggled.
"Bob." Gee corrected. "Bobbert is Mikeys nickname for him."
"My Bobbert - Bear," he laughed. "I'm joking." he said, suddenly serious, seeing the look on my face.
"That reminds me, I gotta go call him. He's s'posed to come over today."
Mikey runs out of the room in a second.
"What was that about?" Gee asked.
"What?"
"Are you a homophobe? Or what?"
I start to giggle, but manage to control myself.
"Well, I'd be pretty hypocritical If I was." I giggled.
"Wait, you're, gay?"
I nod.
"Cool, bro."
"Yup." I say, awkwardly.
"Mikey is too, you know."
"Ya don't say. I thought he just called all his friends Bobbert Bear and shoves his tongue down all his guy-friends throats if they drive him home."
Gee laughs his dying chicken laugh, and I giggle my odd laugh. Mikey comes back in, yelling "Bobberts coming at 8! He got delayed. Wish he could get here sooner." he sighs.
Gee and I bite our lips to stop the laughter pouring out.
I win, as Gee just starts to laugh harder than before.
His laugh is contagious, so I naturally laugh.
We fall on top of each other laughing, Gee eventually hugging into me for support.

          Gerard's P.O.V (Before)
The ride back was pretty uneventful, apart from everybody singing along to the Misfits all the way back. Except for me. I'm too depressed, confused at mad at Andy.
"Here we are!" Ray says, turning off the radio and taking out the key.
"Thanks, Ray." Mikey says, leaning over. He stops just short of his face, staring into his eyes.
Fuck, I forgot Mikey had a little crush on Ray. This was my cue to leave.
"Frank." I mutter, taking hold of his sleeve and dragging him inside.
As soon as we're in the house, I turn around to properly introduce myself, but Frank is daydreaming and walks straight into me.
Fuck he's tiny, I think, staring down into his brown eyes.
"Ray's probably gonna get laid."
I say, clearing my throat.
Frank giggles slightly as I walk over to the fridge.
"What?" I ask, tossing him a beer.
"Nothing." he blushes. Again. "Sorry."
I frown. How many times has he blushed since I've met him?
"You blush a lot." I say, about to make a joke out of it when he says;
"You talk a lot."
He blushes again. He looks up at me with apologetic eyes, reminding me of Andy.
I freeze.
He used to do that. He did that when I said no to a goodnight kiss when I first met him.
My face goes red at the thought.
I bet I'd let Frankie give me a goodnight kiss.
I start to think about me going out with Frank.
I start to laugh. For just no reason. I just feel so alone, so full of fear and anxiety that I have to let it all go. In laughter.
I hear a door slam, and see Frank jump at my sudden fit of laughter.
Oh, God. He's so tiny and fragile.
"What the fuck is wrong with him?" Mikey asks, standing beside a confused Frank.
"I.. I don't know. He just.. Starting laughing." Frank mumbles, as  Mikey gets me a glass of water and tells me to calm down.
After my laughing fit, I sigh happily.
"Oh, God, Frankie." I say, gulping down all my water in one go.
"Frankie?" Mikey says, taking my glass and running out to the kitchen.
I blush, forgetting all about my Andy problems.
"Ha! Now you blush!" Frank say, poking my side.
Being the ticklish fucktard I am, I squirm away from his reach. "
I'm sorry. I meant to say Frank.."
"Sure." Mikey says, winking and nodding at me, sitting down next to me.
"Shut UP, Mikes!" I say, hitting him in the face.
"Aww, see!" Mikey shrieks, jumping out of his seat, pointing at me.
"Ever since Gerard and I were small, we both did it, without realising we were!"
Fucking hell, you bastard! He's fontina hear that as 'we both did it'. Good job Mikey.
He obviously realised his mistake, so continued on.
"Whenever we grew fond of someone, we nicknamed them!" he finished.
"Nickname?" Frank asks, still iffy, I'd say, about the whole 'we did it' thing.
"Yeah. I became Mikes, Gerard became Gee."
"Gee." he giggles. "That's funny."
"Oh, Shut up! We were.. Well, Mikes must have been about three and I was about six?"
"What? You guys have been friends for really long!"
This time it was Mikeys turn to laugh.
"We're brothers." I whisper in his ear, causing him to shiver.
"Oh. That explains it." he whispers.
"What's so funny?" I ask Mikey. I slap his back.
"I wouldn't be friends with you if we weren't related!"
Frank rolls his eyes and chugs down his beer.
I smile. A 14 year old drinking beer. Hardcore, that dude. Too bad he's like, six years younger than me.
"Fuck!" Frank yells, making me jump.
"Have you guys gotta phonebook?" he asks.
"What for?"
"I have to find a motel. I literally don't have any parents!"
"Oh. Yeah. A motel." I say. Why does everything that makes me feel good have to go eventually. Andy, my cigarettes and now Frankie.
"Oh, Frank. Fucking hell, just live here!" Mikey says, as if it's the most obvious thing in the world.
"Are you serious?" I'm about to yell, but then I realise that would sound desperate.
"Would your parents mind?" he asks.
"Our parents? Our parents have split, are both workaholics and left poor Gee to look after me after he turned 21."
"What age are you?" he asks Mikey.
"18."
"High five, bro. Same age."
My jaw drops. He's.. 18??? That's only THREE YEARS!
"Your eighteen?" I ask, to be sure.
"Umm, yeah. Why?"
"Oh. Just wondering."
"You thought I was like 16, didn't you?"
I blushes and stammer.
"I.. I thought you were 14." I confess.
This time it was HIS turn to laugh. At least he didn't take it offensively! That would've been AWFUL.
"Gee has never been good at guessing. Don't be offended." Mikey says. "When Bobbert turned 18, Gee thought he was turning 20. Awkward, or what? Even got him a birthday card with a big 20 written on the front!"
"Bobbert?" Frankie giggled.
"Bob." I correct him. Don't want Bob coming over and Frank calling him Mikey's nickname. "Bobbert is Mikeys nickname for him."
"My Bobbert - Bear," Mikey laughs.
Franks mouth turns into an O shape. Fuck, he's a homophobe.
"I'm joking!" Mikey says, suddenly serious, seeing the look on Frank's face.
"That reminds me, I gotta go call him. He's s'posed to come over today." Mikey says, running out of the room.
"What was that about?" I ask, trying to sound casual.
"What?"
"Are you a homophobe? Or what?"
He starts to giggle, but managed to control himself.
"Well, I'd be pretty hypocritical If I was." He giggled.
"Wait, you're, gay?"
He nods.
"Cool, bro." Should I tell him I was, too? No. Yes.
"Yup." He says, awkwardly.
"Mikey is too, you know." I blurt out. I was supposed to say I was. ME. Fuck.
But Mikey is, too. He's openly gay. So he won't mind.
"Ya don't say." Frank says, sarcastically. "I thought he just called all his friends Bobbert Bear and shoves his tongue down all his guy-friends throats if they drive him home."
I laugh too hard, falling on top if Frank. Mikey comes back announcing Bob will be here at 8.
Frank and I bite our lips to stop the laughter pouring out.
I lose, as I just start to laugh harder than before.
Frank started to laugh, too.
We fall on top of each other laughing, eventually hugging into each other for support.
I can't help but think that I love Frank.
I really do.
