She Is a Mystery

What?

Chapter 1:
It's been what feels like an eternity since I have seen anyone like me. However, as that may seem it's only been a week since I was in Volterra, having an annual check up. Aro, didn't trust me. Caius adored my spunk and sense of humor, which may have been why Aro hated me, but Marcus just didn't really care. So whenever I came into town Aro threw a big fit, while I made the castle my own personal play ground.
However the last time I was there, Aro slipped up and mentioned something... something that caught me completely off guard. There is a Coven that recently relocated... near me. So I have to go lay down my boundaries and show that that I mean business, if anyone comes near me suspecting something is up... we are going to have a problem. Anyway I heard that the Coven poses as a Family... however that works. And they had two 'parents' and a good many kids... I was told that the kids were all mates and that most of them had powers... so this wasn't going to be as easy as I first thought... eh what the heck... I AM AN ELDER! RESPECT!
Anywho I dressed as best as any young adult in 2012 in New York, could and even put on my best piece of jewelry, one that he had given me. And I set out to do what I had planned. However I didn't plan to see one of them the second I left my house.

A boy, who looked more like a burly man, stood before me. He smiled with his golden eyes lighting up. I couldn't help but tense up at his proximity to myself. He frowned at my position and stance. However he quickly backed up some and spoke.
"Hello, I'm Emmett."
Did he expect me to respond, because there was no way that was going to happen. Couldn't he see I didn't like this situation, didn't he understand? I guess not.... He had no special gifts, besides his obvious strength, however that would be no match for mine. I may look like a slim teenage girl, however I had more strength than any that had come to appose me. It was because of my gift.
"Are you not going to introduce yourself?"
"I don't see why I must do so, seeing as you came at me as such."
"Oh.... sorry?"
I couldn't help but smile at that, he was young maybe three to ten years dead.
"Lily."
"Cool name. How old are you?"
"Much older than you, for sure." He laughed a booming laugh that made me tense again.
"I see you are vegetarian also. Not many vampires resort to that anymore."
"Yeah, well you are one to talk."
"I see, well if you don't mind me saying, can I come in and talk?" I was hesitant to let him into my home, if that is an adequate word for it. The house was barren except for the living room and library, and of course some trunks around the house. We talked for a little while, he told me about his siblings, Edward, Bella, Rose, Jasper, Alice and then his 'parents'. They seemed nice... he did too, but there was something that was off, something felt wrong. It was that feeling that told me to run and hide under a rock for a hundred years, or even find Alistair and hide with him... after all hiding did get lonely after a while. He left shortly after, and when he was gone my vision fogged.
The fog broke slightly and I could make out Emmett, he was talking to a room of people. He turned to the bronze haired one. "She wasn't like we thought. She seems nice, just guarded." The one responded with a scoff before storming out. "She is really old, not just some newborn like you thought." He was cut off by a small pixie like girl, "Well what was she like?" "She is beautiful." The blonde girl in the corner growled, "Not like you Rose, She is beautiful like in the angelic way where it just doesn't make sense, however it doesn't appear to be because of the being a vampire. Her beauty made me want to care for her, and protect her, while your beauty makes me go crazy." the blonde smiled at his response before flipping through a magazine. "Emmett is right," someone interrupted, "Edward! Don't read my mind!" "Well you were right, but something is familiar about her. Alice why don't you try seeing her?" Edward said to the pixie girl who smiled and nodded, "I can't get anything, I'm just getting bounced back, and the only image I am getting is like a mirror... I-I just can't break through it."
My vision came back and I new I really needed to watch these people.
