Music

Music is my number one, most used, biggest coping skill. Music, no matter what type, can calm you down. The songs themselves dependon your personality. My rule for picking music to calm down with is very experimental. I pick out a genre and try to fall asleep to it. If you can fall asleep to it easily, it's normally good to calm down.

Tip: If your music doesn't calm you down... Taken the wrong path, you have.

Whether you listen to your music via speakers or headphones, turning it up enough so that it blocks out all the white noise.

Tip: When I talk about white noise I tend to mean the stuff that is idiotically hurting you. But if I said that every time it wouldn't sound as intriguing.

Just breathe deeply, close your eyes and listen to the words. It'll help.
