I’ve spent so much time in my head and in my heart
that I forgot to live in my body.
Her fingers danced over the line of his collar bone, treading like soft silk over his skin. Staring down at her – into those blue eyes – feeling that her simple touch wasn’t all that simple, Alex knew he was smitten.
“Tell me a secret, Alex.” Her voice came out in one soft breath that made him quiver on the inside with pure pleasure. “Something no one else knows...”
He laced his fingers with hers, studying the way they fit so perfectly together despite the obvious differences: her softness against his rough.
Pressing his lips to her knuckles, he said the one thing he knew he shouldn’t.
“Every single part of me wants this to never end,” he stated, staring down at her unwavering face. “If I could lay here, in this oblivion to the outside world forever, Cyprus, I would. Especially if you stayed here with me and promised to do the same.”
