Avery was always a quiet and shy girl, forever taking comfort in the darkest corners of her thoughts. After dealing with self harm since a young age, on top of the sleepless nights filled with screaming and crying, her parents send her away to a mental institution. Refusing to make effort to get better, the only progress made after being stuck there for 2 years is sleeping once in awhile, but it only brings horrifying nightmares. No matter what Avery does, the thoughts never shut off. Her parents never visit anymore, and they were her only visitors.
Until one snowy day in December, when her childhood best friend, Evan shows up out of the blue to take her home.
