Clark Kent and Lana Lang have loved each other their whole lives, but Clark knew it was time to move on. When Lois decides she wants to take a break, Clark starts thinking about Lana, and his feelings for her that never seem to fade. When Lana returns to Smallville without telling Clark, Clark has to go see her. He knows the risk he’ll be taking with because of the meteorite she’d absorbed to save him and the city, but he can’t seem to help himself. He needs real closure, but he was in for a big surprise. He can know stand next to Lana Lang without feeling the effects of Kryptonite. Lana had found a way to remove the suit from her body, and she’s back to normal. However, she still believes what she said before she had left him. Her words “maybe Clark Kent and Lana Lang just weren’t meant to end up together,” still plays in his head.
