Rose Darrian

Rose was pacing around her room as she avoided stepping on clothes, accessories, and other items of clothing as she bit into her bottom lip. She was so anxious and nervous as she realized that she would be going on a date with Louis Tomlinson, her ex-boyfriend who may or may not be her future boyfriend again. “Ugh!” she murmured as she plopped down onto a small empty space on her floor. “I don’t know what to wear! What does he like? I can’t believe I forgot what he liked! Why am I acting like this?” she curled up as she placed her forehead against her knees. The only time she had been this nervous for a date was her very first date with Louis. Her last date with Harry wasn’t that nerve-racking, but then again, she didn’t have many feelings for him.

With a loud sigh, she hopped back onto her two feet and slowly walked around her room before heading to her closet. Finally, she had settled on a simple pair of black jeans along with a white and gray sweater over it. She completed it with the gray Uggs she had gotten for her birthday from her mother before deeming herself acceptable.

There was a knock coming from her apartment door, and her eyes widened as she realized Louis was probably at the door. After grabbing her purse and heading to the door, she had a small smile on her face as she greeted him, “Hi.”

“Hey,” he smiled at her as he ran a hand through his hair, “are you ready?” He wore black jeans along with a white sweater, and for a moment, they just looked at each before laughing. “When did we start matching?” he asked. He had sneakily slipped his hand into hers when they were having their laughing fit, but she didn’t pull away as she shrugged.

“Don’t know,” she smiled a bit wider before she shut the door and looked back at him, “where we going, Mr. Tomlinson?”

He had a cheeky grin upon his face when she asked that, and she groaned softly as she realized it. “It’s a surprise, Ms. Darrian,” he held a finger to his lips.

She pouted as she looked at him, “But I don’t like surprises! You know that.” Ever since he had found that out so many years ago, he had always been trying to change her mind and keeping things a surprise.

He smiled as he led her down the stairs to his car, “I know, but you’ll like this surprise.” He nodded and leaned over to kiss her cheek, making her flush red, “Promise.” Though they had kissed, the little sweet things he did out of nowhere always seemed better. She always felt the most weak in the knees and blushed so bright when he pulled her close or planted a kiss anywhere on her face but her lips, and he had noticed that when they had last went out together. She was shocked that he still remembered, but it made her happy that he did.

“Whatever,” she muttered as she tried to act angry; though she knew she was failing when she saw his grin grow just a bit wider.

They talked and held hands throughout the car ride as he took her to the location of the date, and she couldn’t help but feel just so happy inside, though she was also extremely nervous. What if she did something clumsy? What if she fell on her face or spilled food over her. She could already feel her heartbeat quicken just at the ideas.

“Calm down,” Louis told her as he squeezed her hand. “I can feel you panicking,” he chuckled lightly as he pulled into a parking lot. She could see the bright lights of the rides and food stands, and the wide smiles upon children and adults as they ran around this way and that. She could also see the pink and blue fluffs of sugar along with the colorful horses that were spinning in a circle. Louis Tomlinson had taken her to a carnival like he had for their very first day, and she couldn’t help but smile the biggest smile she ever had as her eyes went wide with excitement.

When she looked over at Louis, she could tell that he was glad with her reaction before he said, “Well, are we going to go or just sit here forever?” With that, they both hurried out of the car and towards the carnival. Rose was never one for boring, dinner dates, though she did enjoy one here and there, but Louis and her were childish and enjoyed the fun rides and junk food that littered everywhere around the carnival.

As the seconds passed with them riding the carousel, rollercoasters, teacups, and so many other rides together, she could feel herself fall in love with him all over again. She couldn’t help but sneak peeks at him every now and then, and, occasionally, they would catch each other staring at one another, and it made them laugh, though she blushed so red in the face. Finally, the sun had set, and she looked up at the Ferris Wheel as they stood in line. Though they had a few fans come up to Louis asking for autographs and photos, it had been fairly calm, which she was rather surprised about. Of course, she could hear the excitement buzzing as they all realized the famous Louis Tomlinson was there, but not much chaos came from it, and she was glad.

“Today was fun,” Rose hummed as they were slowly ascending up on the Ferris Wheel. “Thank you.” she added as she glanced over at him to find he was already looking at her. She could feel her cheeks heat up like all the other times she caught him staring at her. They were both leaning forward towards each other, and she could feel her heartbeat quicken and her hands shook as her palms got sweaty. They were going to kiss again, and she felt herself smile slightly as she closed her eyes. His lips were soon pressed to hers, and it got a bit heated as she felt one of his hands cup the side of her face, while the other tangled itself in her hair. Her hands went to hook around his neck as she played with the ends of his hair on his neck, and when they pulled away, she couldn’t help but see that his eyes were sparkling, and she was sure hers were too.
