The Wedding Planner

Chapter 1

Gerard's POV

I walked down the streets of Jersey with my hands in my hoodie. I was kind of nervous walking to my girlfriend's apartment all by myself. You just don't know all the crazy shit that could happen to you in these streets. Hopefully nothing would happen to me, because I have major things planned in my future, and if everything goes as planned, tonight would be one of the things I would remember for the rest of my life. And so would my girlfriend Skye.

I rounded the last block before seeing the huge apartment complex. I half walked half ran up the stairs. I decided to take the stairs instead of the elevator, because I could lose a couple of pounds with no harm. I opened up the door staircase and began walking. After what seemed like ages, I finally got up to the seventh flight of stairs and opened up the door. I walked down the hallway and stopped at the door. I needed to fresh myself up. I patted down in hairs that got out of place, fixed my belt buckle, and made sure the item in my pant pocket was okay. After deciding everything was good, I knocked on the door two times, before it was opened and found myself face to face with my girlfriend.

Skye was absolutely stunning in every single way. She had beautiful hazel eyes that always seemed to shine bright and dark brown hair that was cut to her shoulder and teased up in the back. I was stunned by her for a minute or so, before she started speaking.

"Gerard! Oh my gosh, I'm so excited to see you. Quit standing there and come in," she said excitedly. She grabbed my wrists and dragged me in and closed the door in the process. We then walked over to her leather couch and sat down. "So what are you doin' here babe?"

"Not much. Just wanted to see your beautiful face," I said. I gave her a quick peck on the lips and excitedly told her about this idea I had. "Man, it's real awesome Skye. I've been drawing these pictures and I've told my boss about it, and he said he would take a look at them!" I said while smiling ear to ear.

"That's awesome Gee. You don't know how lucky you are that you work in comic books and stuff. I wish I could do something cool like that," she said while tucking small strands of hair behind my ear. I always blushed at the little things she did like that. I was so damn lucky to have this girl. I think I would honestly die without her.

"I love you, Skye," I told her. I meant every single fucking word. I grabbed her hands and held them in mine. I looked her staight in the eye and began confessing my heart to her. "You make every single day shine brighter than the sun. You always make me get butterflies in my stomach everytime I see you, hell even when I think about you. I just don't know how you do it Skye."

"Gerard, I...don't know what to say, except that I feel the exact same way about you. I've always had feeling for you the minute we met and I knew you were the one for me," she said with tears forming in her eyes.

I simply smiled, stood up, and got down on one knee in front of her. With shaky hands, I pulled out a little velvert box that had been in my pant pocket the whole time. "Skye, will you marry me?" I asked.

She started crying and smiling. "Yes, I will Gerard! I mean it!"

"Thank you," I said while opening the box and sliding the finger on the proper finger. I stood up and sat back on the couch with her and instantly grabbed her in my arms. "Skye, this is it. We're gonna be together forever now." I wiped the tears that were falling from her eyes and kissed her on the lips. "I love you."

"Gee, this is just the beginning. Oh, and I love you too."
