The Destruction Diary

I didn't find out about it until maybe sixth grade when some of the older girls in the eighth grade were talking about it in the bathroom. It was weird because I never knew about it, or even heard of the word - and my mom's a nurse.

When I got to high school I heard the word, more and more each day. It was like it was a common thing to say like 'cool' or some curse word. I never thought that word would be used to describe me. To be a part of me.

For such a pretty word, it sure does hurt a lot of people.

Anorexia.

  1. Mirror, Mirror on the wall.
Who's the thinnest of them all?
  2. I can't remember the last time,
I've seen my own eyes or the color of my skin.
  3. I remember golden days,
when all this was a mystery.
