There Is No Void That Can’t Be Covered With Love

Now that I think about it, there are some perks to Austin being away on tour. Of course, I’d miss him with every beat of my heart every minute he was away from me, but when he comes back to see me, Austin is the most romantic man on the earth.

“Mmmm you’re delicious.” Austin winked at me.

I couldn’t help but blush and turn tomato red, and yet I couldn’t take him seriously. I began giggling at his words. That man could make my head spin in a whirl.

I had just gotten out of the shower and had changed into some fresh clothes. I went into Austin's case and took out my favorite shirt he owned, the Jack Daniel's shirt of course, and changed into that with some jean shorts.

“I better taste fucking delicious; I keep my body nice and sexy all for you.” I laughed.

Austin shook his head and chuckled, his perfectly straight and gleaming white teeth bedazzling my view. I found myself a keeper; one I never thought in the history of the world would ever notice me, a simple valley girl. He had big dreams, high hopes, and a lot of positive vibes. I couldn’t help but smile anytime he posted something on Twitter or Instagram when I was just his biggest fan. But now, I’m still his biggest fan and his love. It couldn’t be any better than that.

Austin looked down at me and kissed my forehead. Looking into his eyes, I snaked my arms around his neck and stood there for a good 30 seconds staring at his angelic face.

“I love you Austin Carlile. I’ve loved you forever and I never plan on letting you go.” I took my hand and caressed his face and he took his hand and gently placed it on top of mine. Austin slowly rubbed his face on my hand with his eyes closed; it made him look so peaceful and sweet, I wanted to marry him so badly already.

Intertwining our fingers, Austin lovingly said “I’m not letting you slip from my fingers Leslie. Never. This is a journey. And it’s barely the beginning of ours…”

Austin let go of me and stepped back. He looked down with an expression of nervousness and calmness at the same time. With that, Austin got on one knee and reached for my left hand.

“Baby… oh my goodness…” I couldn’t believe what was happening in front of my eyes. This was really happening.

“Leslie Naomi Alva, I know this may not be the most romantic way of doing this, or the way you thought this would happen, but I’ve got so much planned for us and I will make every moment special to make this moment up to you. I just want you to spend every waking moment being my Leslie, forever and ever. I know I may have only said I love you for the first time in the beginning of this week but you have to believe me when I say I’ve never been more in love with someone than I have with you. I can’t get you out of my head for a minute and your smile whenever I think about it just sends chills up and down my body. I’m in love with you Leslie. In every way. That’s why I want you to accept this…”

Austin reached into his pocket and pulled out a tiny blue box. Placing his hand over the box, Austin opened it and revealed a diamond engagement ring.

Austin looked up at me and asked, “Leslie, will you marry me?”

I took the box from his hand and took out the ring. I looked at it with tear-filled eyes as I found an inscription on the inside of the ring. It read “There’s nothing that can’t be covered with love.” I nearly broke down into full blown tears seeing what he had inscribed. The most flawless human being wanted to be with me, and I with him.

Softly looking down at the ring and then back at Austin, I began to nod my head.

“Yes Austin… yes. I will marry you.”
