The Agent's Daughter

Bruce?

Bruce started breathing, very heavily, and he continuously groaned. “Bruce, you’ve got to fight it… this is just what Loki wants…” I said, while desperately trying to loosen my foot. “You’re going to be okay, listen to me…” Suddenly, two men came running towards us, and one of them yelled, “Are you hurt?” I used my hand to motion them to leave. Immediately. Thankfully, they got the hint, They left quickly, which I was thankful for. “We’re going to be okay, alright?” I said, trying to keep him calm, while I was trying to stay calm as well. “I swear on my life, I will get out of this. You will walk away, and never…” Bruce turned to me, “ON YOUR LIFE!” He bellowed, as his face kept getting half red, and half green. I started yanking harder on my foot, because I knew what was going to happen soon. He started writhing in pain, and he kept getting bigger, and even more green, he fell onto the next floor, and he looked up at me……with Bruce’s eyes.

Bruce?” I asked, as my face grew more worried than before. Finally, something happened. Something that I knew was going to happen soon. He turned completely into the Hulk. He got up and roared. I finally freed my foot from under the metal piece, grabbed my bow that had flown away from me, and I go to my feet and started running, with the Hulk following me. I zigzagged through the halls, I was desperately trying to find a place to hide. I spotted some large pipes, and squeezed myself behind them, and tried to keep my breathing calm and quiet. While, I was running, I had taken my cuff off, so I put it back on, pressed the button, and I loaded my bow, as quietly as I could. Suddenly, everything was quiet, and I heard giant footsteps. I knew that the Hulk was close. I held my breath, trying to be as silent as I could possibly be. The footsteps stopped. I let out the breath I had been holding, and I turned around to come face to face with the Hulk. “ROOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRR!” I loaded my bow and shot an arrow at the pipe that was above the Hulk. Steam came out, distracting the Hulk for only a few moments, which gave me enough time to get out.

I jumped to level above me, and I took off running, as I was running I reloaded my bow, in case I needed it, but it was useless. My arrows were no match against the Hulk. I sprinted through a small walkway, which was completely covered with glass windows on each side, and on the top. But of course, that didn’t stop the Hulk. He just charged down it after me. Obviously, I wasn’t running fast enough, and he was catching up with me. Just then, I felt his hand swipe at me, and I was thrown into a large pipe. I hit the ground. I sat up, groaning in pain, thankfully, as far as I knew I had no broken bones. The Hulk walked over to me, with his giant green raised. I closed my eyes, waiting for impact from his fist smashing my body. Instead, I heard a grunt and something go flying by me. I opened my eyes to see that Thor had come to my rescue and tackled the Hulk before he could pulverize me. I hoped that Bruce would be okay, and that he would walk away from it. I didn’t move, I was still in shock from what had just happened, so I just sat there. A few minutes later, I heard another explosion, and I heard Fury come onto my earpiece. “Barton is heading towards the detention level. Does anyone copy?” My heart stopped beating, and my breath was caught in my throat. I have to get him back, I have to tell him… I thought. “Does anyone copy?” Fury asked, once again.

“This is Agent Carter…I copy…” I said, finally getting up, and I began to walk down the walkway towards the detention level, now determined to bring Clint back.
