Freeze

in love.

She had been asleep for a good half hour, and he couldn’t stop touching her. His fingers were lightly gliding up her arm while his other hand was occupied with hers, his thumb sweeping circles over the back of it. Her dog, who had been just a mere puppy when he was last with her, was glaring at him from the end of the bed, soft snarl leaving the dog’s mouth. He tried not to let that bother him, but for some reason, it did. It was like the husky was a different person with her, which was true, and he couldn’t be mad at the husky. He’d only seen the human male all of two weeks before he disappeared for half a year. As she shifted closer to him, soft breathing filling the once silent room, he had realized something that he didn’t before.

He was in love.
