No Place for Women

Chapter Twenty-Six

Calili and I were both stuck in a room together, with a guard standing outside the door. The door that was to remain open the entire time to make sure that we weren't sitting inside of the room planning on trying to escape or anything like that.

What were we going to do? Break through the wall? Yeah right.

I was standing, leaning against the wall on the opposite side of the room from the open door, while Calili was sitting on the edge of the bed. Her hands in her lap and the look on her face was absolutely pitiful. Kind of heart breaking really. I wasn't too sure how to deal with seeing my sister like this in the first place. It was just a plain out awkward situation.

"Look, Calili, I-" As soon as she heard my voice, her head spun around and she shot me the most evil look that she could muster.

"Don't you dare, even try to continue that sentence. It's your fault that we're stuck in this situation. If not for you, then we'd still be with the comapny!" She snapped, her eyes glaring at me. "How's this my fault?" I gasped out. Already knowing the answer to my own question.

"How is it? Well, let's see shall we? You left the company, to live up to some crazy thing that our mother expected you to do. Which is not something the sister I know would do, because my sister doesn't care what others think, and does not look for the approval of others. And then you didn't even do what you set out to do. Instead I find you here, in Mirkwood. You then help the company escape, while not even caring that I am a part of that company! That the man I love is a part of that company, and now he's gone!"

She was yelling at me, and somewhere during her little rant she had risen from where she had previously been sitting. The angry look on her face didn't falter.

By now the guard that was standing in front of the door was staring, and we had also caught the attention of the many people who had beeb passing by the room. They were all standing silently, their eyes focused on us, as they watched the scene unfolding in front of them.

"Taking back Erebor was never your duty! What don't you understand about the fact that Gandalf pawned us off onto that company? We do not belong with them!" I explained with a sigh, "Besides, you act like you'll never see him again. In the morning, I will speak to Tranduil. I will convince him to let you go."

"And just where exactly am I supposed to go? I know not where the company is, by now, and have no way of getting there myself." She snapped.

"You just follow the river, and then once the river leads into the lake, you make your way to the mountain. You will find them there." I informed her. She stay silent for a moment, taking in the words that I had spoken. Had she not realized how simple it would be for her to navigate her way to the Lonely Mountain from here?

Turning to the door, I saw the people still standing there- watching us. "Get out of here!" I shouted angrily, causing most of them to jump and run off. Leaving only two people standing there.
One, was the guard that had been charged with guarding the door. The other was the young, blonde prince. Legolas. He as well had an angry look on his face as he stepped forward. I thought he would say something that would indicate what he was actually feeling, but instead he reached out and grabbed the guard. Shocked, I watched the few moves he made, before the guard fell to the ground.

"Legolas! What are you doing, is he dead?" I gasped out, taking a step towards him. "No, only sleeping." His eyes flashed to Calili, "Both of you come with me." He ordered.

"Why should we? Where are you taking us?" Calili was acting like a snob, as she crossed her arms over her chest. I watched as Legolas gave a small glare in her direction before looking at me. "We're going after your dwarves. Although, if you are going to act like a brat then feel free to stay here."

That was all he said before turning and walking out of the room. I stood shocked for a moment, before reaching over and grabbing Calili's arm. I pulled her out of the room, and dragged her along behind me as I struggled to catch up with Legolas.

Hello all! I hope you all didn't miss me too much.

I'm glad to announce that I have a new inspiration to continue this story.
This is the story that I have invested the most into, and I plan on finishing it. I will not be deleting this story, like I have done a couple of times in the past, before finishing it. Though after I finish, I do plan on rewriting and making it better. It will be posted as a completely different story- though I will probably add it as the sequel to this one in order to make it easier for you all to find.
Please stick with me everyone. Things are a bit shaky on this end. It's been a while since I've watched DOS and I only just watched BOFA. I hope that since the story is still in DOS, it will give you few readers a chance to go out and see BOFA before I continue into it.

This story will contain spoilers, because it WILL BE going along with the movie. I wish that I could say otherwise, but I do have a plan for everything that's happening currently in the story.
So I hope you've paid good attention, if not then I advise you go back and reread it before continuing.
I love you all <3
