Danielle Quinn has been struggling to keep her sexuality a secret from her family for about two years when she was figured out that she liked girls as much as she liked guys. She knows she should only like guys, but she can't help but crush on a few girls as well, like her best friend Zoey Davids. Danielle's parents would freak out if they found out that Danielle liked girls. They weren't homophobic, they just prefered that their daughter be as straight as possible.
Zoey shows Danielle that it is okay to be different and Danielle starts to grow more comfertable with her sexuality. Her parent's on the other hand... Well, they don't exactly feel the same way.
