Flavor of the Week

Georgia Lewis

As Georgia set her suitcase down on the small bed she let out a nervous sigh. She thought she’d done well so far, blushing like a mad woman when her video went up last. However, she could have gone first and they all probably would have gotten it right considering the small army of sweaters she had in her arsenal matched the one she'd worn in the video perfectly. But other than blushing, mumbling, and hiding behind cardigans she hadn’t really gotten the hang of being shy. Georgia had always been a very outgoing person, loving to meet new people and make them laugh, so this was going to be a challenge.

She turned to see the other two girls on Louis team and bit her lower lip. Diana was supposed to pretend to be blind, and Georgia was thankful she hadn’t got that part. Then there was Juliette, who had to be an emotional wreck all the time and probably cry over everything. Georgia chuckled, knowing Harry had unintentionally given Louis the very short end of the stick. She quickly put her things away, tucking her sketchbook between her bed and nightstand where it was mostly out of view.

From the glimpse she’d gotten of Louis she guessed she was going to have a lot of material to work with. From his feathery hair to those eyes that sparkled like the ocean, Louis was absolutely beautiful. Speaking of which, he knocked lightly on the door, his voice calling out to them and causing Georgia’s heart to speed up ever so slightly.

“Hello ladies.” Louis cooed, a broad grin on his handsome face. Juliette and Diana both gave him a small, giggly, ‘hello’ but Georgia, trying to keep in character, kept quiet. Louis noticed this and smiled slightly before turning back to the other two. “Now, I was thinking that, to get to know you all better since we’re going to be teammates and all, I could maybe talk to each of you one on one, really find out about you and all that.” He smiled cheekily at them. “So who’s first?”

Georgia wanted nothing more than to run over and leap into Louis’ arms, but she restrained herself. She knew if she broke character she’d probably get kicked off the show, and she didn’t want that to happen. So she stayed quiet, sitting down on her bed as Juliette volunteered and the two of them left the small room. Once the door was shut Diana let out a long sigh, plopping back on the mattress.

“So are you supposed to be a mute or something?” Georgia chuckled.

“No, I’m The Shy One. And you’re supposed to be blind right?”

“Yeah.” Diana groaned, taking off the sunglasses she’d been ordered to wear at all times. “It’s a shame too, he’s freaking hot. They all are.” They were both quiet for a moment before Diana giggled. “Nice sweaters.”

“It’s all I’m allowed to wear.”

“Are you serious?”

“Yeah. The producers thought it make me look more like a ‘wallflower’ or something.” Both girls then started laughing, lapsing into a comfortable conversation for a good half hour or so before they stopped, hearing voices outside the door. Diana quickly slipped her sunglasses back on as Louis and Juliette reemerged, talking quietly. Louis smiled, looking between Diana and Georgia. Georgia tried to keep her eyes on the floor, forcing herself to blush as Diana quickly made her way over to Louis, tapping her fake cane and hamming it up.

It was all Georgia could do not to laugh as she overheard her telling him on the way out the door that she could tell what she looked like if she touched him, and glanced up just in time to see her run her hand over his perfect ass. Georgia simply shook her head, laughing to herself as she finished unpacking her clothes and waited for Louis to return.

Finally, only twenty minutes later, the two came back, Louis was red faced and Diana smiled, running her hand over his face. “You are such a handsome man Louis.” She promised. Georgia was almost on the verge of tears from holding back her laughter, but let her smile fall when Louis turned to her.

“Georgia?” He asked, extending his hand towards her. She pressed her lips together before looking up at him from under her lashes, chewing on her bottom lip and blushing. Louis smiled and, seeing her hesitation, simply walked over and scooped her up into his strong arms before carrying her out the door. She let out a small squeak of surprise and her face was actually red as he set her down to open the front door, letting the two of them outside. He started laughing at how flushed she was. “What? You weren’t moving.” She opened her mouth to say something, but then promptly closed it again. She saw his smile drop just the slightest bit as the two of them started walking, taking in the beautiful scenery. “So, where are you from?”

“Vancouver.” She muttered.

“Oh. A Canadian eh?” She couldn’t help but giggle at his horrible fake accent.

“We don’t sound like that.” He chuckled, his hands shoved into his pockets.

“Well, I can say I understand about the whole accent thing. I’ve heard so many terrible British accents over the years. Every time someone hears me talk the next thing I get is ‘why ‘ello gov’na! Fancy a spot a tea?’ it’s crazy.” She couldn’t help but giggle again, causing Louis to smile. “You have a lovely laugh.” He noted. Georgia immediately clammed up at that, her face flushing and her gaze moving to the ground. She heard Louis sigh again. “Look Georgie,” She blushed lightly at the nickname. “You’re a beautiful girl and all, but you’ve got to talk to us.”

“I’m sorry.” She whispered.

“Don’t be sorry, just don’t be so nervous. I’m not going to bite.” He then chuckled, that cheeky grin taking up his face once again. “Unless you want me to.” This was met with more blushing from Georgia which made him bite his lip. “So, what do you like to do?”

“I draw and paint a lot.” She said, looking up for one of the first times that day to look into his eyes. She wanted to get lost in the almost unreal blue of them. But as his eyes moved back to look at her, her gaze hit the ground once again, remembering her role.

“Really? What like fruit or animals?”

“People actually.” She answered. “I actually was accepted to an art school in Paris, but my parents didn’t want me to go.” She sighed, remembering the look of total disbelief on her parents faces when she’d told them what she wanted to do with her life.

“You know what Georgie?”

“What?”

“Fuck your parents.” Her eyes flew up to his, unable to look away as he started into her eyes. “If it makes you happy, and you’re obviously good enough to impress people in Paris, go for it. I wouldn’t be who I am if I didn’t audition for X Factor. We only get one life, and you don’t want to have any regrets at the end of it.” She smiled lightly, pressing her lips together.

“Thanks Louis.”

“Anytime love.” He promised. He then hesitantly reached over; worried she might run like a deer or something as he gave her a small, one armed hug. Georgia wanted to melt into his warm arms, to hold him and feel how their bodies fit together, but she simply blushed, not doing anything as Louis pulled his arm away.

“So, do you think maybe I could model for you sometime?” He asked, smiling at her. She bit her lip, trying to see if there was a glint of a camera anywhere since she knew this wouldn’t really fit with her character. She played with the hem of her sweater before smiling up at him and muttering a simple,

“I’d like that.”
