Lessons Learned I

Rachel, Alex, Adam and I were in the library one day after school.

I sat back and watched the whole spectacle between the three of them go down.

"Hey, Rach, we should go do something after schoo-" Alex was cut off by Adam.

"You know, Rachel, that shirt really brings out the beautiful brown in your eyes," Adam said charmingly.

Rachel smiled really wide.

"Why, thank you, Adam."

He smiled.

"You're welcome."

Alex sat there and gave him dirty looks.

"So, anyway..." Alex muttered wrly.

Rachel just smiled.

"Hey, Rachel, there's this movie coming on t--" Alex cut Adam off.

"I hear there's a Britney Spears concert coming here soon. Maybe I can get tickets for us to go?" Alex stared at her.

She looked at him and smiled a little.

"I'd love to go. That Vertical Horizon concert was awesome."

He grinned.

"Okay."

"Hey, Rachel, maybe we tomorrow night we could go out for dinner?" Adam suggested in a charming voice.

She looked up at him with a wide grin on his face.

"Yeah. I'd like that."

Alex got up and walked away. I stared after him, then looked at Rachel and Adam. Adam gave Alex a weird look.

Rachel called after him. He ignored her and kept walking.
