The Gift Is a Curse (These Visions)

"We're close to the cafe I believe. I don't remember Albatross having such long hallways." Andy said chuckling a little bit. We were walking down the the hallways and I think we're lost. "Dude, are you sure that we are almost there? My feet are already killing me, there is no reason that this school should be this big!" Sandra exclaimed and her voice echoed of the walls. Bethany kept yapping about how she came from a rich family and why she came here because she was too smart for a regular school. God she was annoying the hell out of me. In a hushed tone, Sandra started talking about how much she hated preps, and it was funny because Bethany had no idea we were talking about her. I looked at Andy from the corner of my eye. He looked tired, annoyed, and really pale. His eyes flashed red again, and that's when I started to get worried. "Andy?" I said while taking his hand in mine. He looked at me while raising his eyebrow. "Are you ok?" I asked. He looked forward into the depths of the hallway. He didn't say anything, but he did nod. He let go of my hand and I did the same. I look down at my walking feet and sighed. "There's the opening to the cafe." He said. I looked up again and saw the doorway. I smiled. "WOOOORD! Bout' to see Coma and beat him up!" Sandra shouted and punched the air. Andy shook his head and started to quicken his pace. I turned around to see Bethany jogging to keep up with him since she was shorter than Sandra. I giggled. She gave me a dirty look, but I just shrugged at her, smiled, and then turned around and laughed. A couple of minutes later, we stepped into the cafe and looked around. I heard someone call Bethany's name. "Hey Bethany!" I looked to my left to see a table full of jocks and preps. "Hey Stacy!" Bethany called to her friends and skipped over there. "Oh hell naw, there's a whole army of them. I am done! Done to the fullest!" Sandra shouted while putting on her hood. Me and Andy laughed. "Yo Biersack! Over here!" I looked to my right to see an occupied table with these guys dressed in all black. "Hey Coma!" Sandra shouted and waved her hand. "DUDE! Sandra! Get your short ass over here!" The one called Coma shouted back. She jogged over to the table to be greeted by the people who populated it. Andy grabbed my hand and led me to where Sandra jogged off to. "Uh, I think l'll go back to the room Andy,I don't do well with meeting new people." I said nervously. I was so weird around new people and I really didn't want to do this. Andy just looked at me and grinned. "Don't be so nervous Raven. You seemed fine when you met me." Andy said as he held my hand tighter. "Yeah, but this is more people that I'm meeting all at once." I mumbled under my breathe. I couldn't do anything but sigh deeply, I really just wanted to go back to the room and curl up into a ball. We reached the table and all eyes were on me. God, why do I have to be so weird around people? POR QUE!!? "Jinxx, I need something from you." Andy said while going back to his serious tone. The one called Jinxx, nodded slowly, got up from his seat and walked away from the table. Andy walked next to him. I looked over to see everyone still staring at me. I looked over at Andy again and even him and Jinxx were staring at me. Sandra was just grinning at me. Then I saw a flash of red in Andy's eyes again. Then Jinxx. Then Sandra, and then the other three. I just stood there, frozen. They were just like me. All of them. I was excited but at the same time a little scared, so I took a step back. "Don't be afraid of us, we're not here to hurt you." Jinxx spoke. I looked at him, and stayed where I stood. He had short teased hair that probably was long if it wasn't teased. He wore a leather jacket, and black t-shirt, black skinnies, and dress shoes. He had blue eyes like Andy but they were a little darker. He also wore a little bit of eyeliner. He walked over to me slowly, without taking his eyes off of me. He stopped and held out his hand for me to shake. At first I was too nervous to, but I held out my hand and grabbed his. He had a firm grip, and shook my hand lightly. "My name is Jeremy Ferguson. But prefer Jinxx." He smiled warmly. I returned his smile. "I'm Raven." I said while starting to relax a little more. Jinxx took his place next to Andy once again. "Dudes, this is my new friend Raven Carols. She's epic as shit so stop trying to freak her out." Sandra said to the table of guys and then elbowed the one named Coma. He flinched a little and his eyes flashed red again, while smiling at me. I smiled lightly at him and then looked at Sandra. "I'm Christian Coma, but you can call me CC." He finally said, I looked back at him. He had long black hair that went past his shoulders, and he wore a black bandana. He had hazel eyes and he also wore a light layer of eyeliner. He wore a plain black t-shirt that looked tight on him but fitted him perfectly. He wore a studded belt with a couple chains. Black jeans and heavy combat boots that went to his ankle. He also wore black fingerless gloves and a studded wristband that matched his belt. He walked over to me and held out his hand for me to shake like Jinxx had did. I shook it lightly, but his grip was welcoming so I smiled warmly at him. He smiled back and took his place next to Sandra once again. The guy sitting next to me stood up and then turned next to me and smiled wildly. He was almost as tall as Andy. He had long black hair, deep brown eyes and also wore a black cowboy hat. He had thick layer of eyeliner on, though he looked good with it on, and his skin was a pale tan. He wore a black tank top with a vest that had the words 'The Deviant,' imprinted on the back. He wore black jeans and black cowboy boots that went up to his calf of his leg."I'm Ashley Purdy. But you can call me Ash if you wish." He said while grabbing my hand and shaking it quickly. He winked at me and grinned, then he sat back down. I blushed lightly and looked at my feet. I heard a chair move across the floor and I looked up to see the last of the guys to introduce themselves. This one had long brown hair, and medium colored brown eyes, and had little tiny bit of eyeliner on. He had on a tank top and a vest on like Ashley did, but his vest was studded almost everywhere, he wore black jeans and combats boots, that went up to his ankle like CC did. "I'm Jake Pitts." He said while reaching across the table to shake my hand. I shook it quickly and smiled at him. He smiled back and sat down, his eyes flashed red again. We're they doing that on purpose? Cause they all started doing it now, even to Sandra. Now I was getting irritated. I do t k ow if I could flash my eyes red like that, but I was going to try. I sighed deeply and focused hard. I felt my eyes change quickly, that must mean I had done it. I did it again to make sure. 5 seconds later, I heard the guys starting to cheer. I looked around confused but started to smile. Jake got up and walked over to me and gave me a quick hug. I gladly hugged him back, I like hugging people. "Finally. We thought we were the only ones in the world. Not a lot of people like us are around anymore." Jake said while looking down at me. I smiled widely and he let go. "I'm happy that we have found someone like you Raven. It's been so long since we have found another." Jinxx said while looking at Andy. He looked at Jinxx and then at me and smiled. I smiled back. "Hey Raven, since we aren't getting our class schedules until tomorrow, why don't you tell us about yourself." Ashley said while grabbing a chair and motioning me to sit down. I thought about it for a minute and decided, why not? I mean, they were like me after all, so I should get to know my own kind. I sat down next to Ashley and started to talk about myself

Couple hours later and I already feel attached to these guys. I have a lot in common with all of them in different ways, which is great. I've never felt close to anyone ever in my life, and now I don't have to feel alone anymore. We decided to go outside since it was nice out, and also because Bethany kept shouting from her prep table to Andy and kept calling him boo and what not. Sandra and CC were playing around near a lake, throwing rocks and sticks into it, seeing which one could throw the farthest, Ashley decided to take a nap on the grass, Andy sat next to me, and Jinxx and Jake decided to go to their rooms and get their guitars and show me a couple of guitar riffs that they have came up with since they've been off tour. They're one of the best guitarists I've ever heard in a band. While they were playing Perfect Weapon, I started to play with the grass. It was so green it glowed, and it was as soft as a cats fur. I've noticed that Andy scooted closer to me, but I don't think he realized that I noticed him. Why was he doing that? Eh, whatever. I heard Jinxx's phone ring and he stopped playing his guitar. "Hello?...... Hey Doll...... You're here?..... Ok, is Ella here too?..... Great, I'll see you in a second...love you too Doll... Bye." Jinxx hung up the phone. "Raven, you're about to meet two more of us." Jinxx said while putting his guitar down slowly and getting up. "Sammi is here?" Jake said looking up at Jinxx as he nodded to Jake. "Ella to?" Jake said getting up quickly with his guitar in his hands." Yes jake. Help me get them, they're lost in the front of the school." Jinxx chuckled to himself. Jake put his guitar down next to Jinxx's, and started to walk around to the front of the school, Jinxx close behind him. I watched then disappear behind a wall and then looked back at Sandra and CC. They were still going at the contest that they had thrown together, Ashley was still asleep, and Andy still sat next to me. I sighed and started playing with the grass. "I'm about to fall asleep like Ashley in about five seconds." Andy said while yawning and stretching. I looked at the sky and saw that It started to get dark out. "It's getting late out. Maybe we should go inside. The curfew is nearly here. " He said while getting up. I looked up at him and saw that he had his hand out. I grabbed it and he helped me up. But half way up, my boot lace was stuck under my other boot and I tripped, falling into Andy's arms and squeaking and tiny scream. I looked at Andy's blue eyes and blushed wildly. Andy just smiled at me and got me on my feet. "Uhh.. Thanks Andy." I quickly mumbled and let go of him. "No problem Raves." He said. I watched him walk over to Sandra and CC and began to talk to them as he joined there little contest. I sighed and looked at my boots. The lace was still untied, so I bent down and began to tie it. I heard jake talking somewhere so I figured he was back with whoever Jinxx was talking to on the phone. I looked up to see him and Jinxx with two other girls. I stood up and smiled at them, Jinxx waved back. When they were in front of me, he started to talk. "Raven, this is Sammi Doll, she's my wife." Jinxx said while he wrapped his arm around Sammi's waste. I smiled at her. "Hi Sammi, it's really nice to meet you." I said while shaking her hand. "It's very nice to meet you too Raven. Especially when your one of our kind. I thought me and the guys were the only ones left." She explained happily and shook my hand quickly. She was really beautiful. She had bright blonde hair with light purple tips, beautiful blue eyes, that were outlined with neatly thick eyeliner, and her lips were glossed with rose red lipstick. She wore a laced shirt with a black tank top underneath, a black ruffled skirt, knee high stockings with a skull on the thigh, and black Dr. Martin boots. I like her style, it suits her. "And this is my fiancé Ella Cole." Jake said while pushing Ella forward a little. For a moment, I thought she didn't like me, but I'm guessing she was a little shy. I don't know why, she looked so nice and young, and outgoing. She had long brown, curly hair that went past her shoulders. she had a gray sweat shirt on, a plain white t-shirt, black short shorts with a chain hanging from her belt loops, ripped fishnet stockings, and knee high converse shoes. i decided to start the introducing, I held out my hand, and she quickly shook it. "Hi Ella, I'm Raven Carols." I smiled lightly. She smiled back. "It's nice to meet you Raven, Jake has been texting about you all to day. I must say, I got excited myself when he said you were one of our kind. I'm really happy you have added to our population since we are the only ones left." Ella said while shaking my hand with both hers. I honestly had no idea that we were the only ones left. "And it's great to know that we have another female among us. Me, Ella, and Sandra are out numbered to the guys. But I guess Sandra counts as a guy too, since she is a lesbian." Sammi said while stepping next to Ella I tilted my head a little bit at her. I had no idea Sandra was a lesbian, not that it matters, she's still a great person, I just thought she had a tough back round, a Tom boy type of thing . "I mean, don't get me wrong, I love Sandra dearly, she's like a sister to me." Sammi said urgently like I was about to confront her. "It's ok Sammi, I know what you mean." I said while smiling lightly. She sighed calmly and then smiled. I saw Andy walking up to us from the corner of my eye. I decided to turn my head. He smiled lightly at me. I saw Sandra and CC waking Ashley up from is napping. "We better start heading him soon, I don't want to miss curfew and get in trouble." Andy said as he stood next to Jinxx. "Yeah that's true. Did Marcus take your bags to your rooms yet Doll?" Jinxx said while Turing to face Sammi. "Yeah he did, I know me and Ella are rooming together, but I don't think it's with any of you guys." Sammi said to everyone as Sandra, Ashley, and CC walked over to the group. "Jinxx touched the side of of Sammi's head with his forehead. "I'll be fine Jinxx, I won't be alone, I'll be with Ella, and I'll let you know of we need anything." Sammi said while kisses him lightly on the lips. Jinxx smiled. "Ok Doll." Me and jake will walk you girls to your room." Jinxx said while grabbing Sammi's hand and looking at Jake for him to follow. "Yeah, we'll meet up at the table tomorrow guys, see you on the morning." Jake said while waving to everybody. "It was nice meeting you Raven." Sammi called to me while walking away with Jinxx. "Yes, very nice, I'll see you in the morning." Ella said before giving me a quick hug and walking away with Jake. "It is getting late, and I'm getting tired." Sandra said while yawning. "I'm still tired from my nap." Ashley said with half closed eyes. Andy shook his head and smiled. "Yeah, let's get to bed, I'm exhausted." CC said while turning around and walking away, followed by Sandra and Ashley. I walked slowly behind them, Andy by my side.
"I wonder of well have classes tomorrow." Andy said while yawning. I shrugged. "Hopefully not, I want to sleep in tomorrow." I said while looking at him and smiling lightly. "True, maybe we won't." Andy said shrugging. I looked at him from the corner of my eye, he looked nothing near tired, he looked energetic, and I could feel it. I looked straight ahead of me and saw the back door that led to the cafe. CC opened the door, and held it open for everyone. We were swallowed by the darkness as we entered the cafe.

I pulled my hair back in a ponytail, I put on a black tank top on, red and black plaid pajama pants. I shut off the bathroom light after I brushed my teeth and closed the door. CC and Ashley had already gone to their rooms after we had entered the hallway. When we got to our room, Bethany had already been in bed sleeping. Sandra didn't really care of she had to sleep with her, she just took off her jeans and sweater and put on sweat pants, and just climbed into bed. I could tell She was really tired. I walked over to the bed that me and Andy were sleeping in, and slipped under the blankets. These blankets were extremely soft, almost like the grass outside. I looked over at Andy who was already laying down under the blankets. I guess he was tired. I turned my back towards him and laid my head on the fluffy pillow. My eye lids started to get heavier and heavier and then finally the closed. I fell into a deep sleep, but then my body started to get cold, really, really cold. I opened my eyes to see nothing but blackness, I couldn't even see the blankets anymore. I sat up and brought my knee's to my chest. "Raven Carols.." I heard a voice whisper my name.
I started to panic and look around. "You have been chosen to receive theses visions that will fulfill this prophecy." I heard the voice rasp again. I looked on front of me to see a tall dark figure wearing a cloak. It came closer to me, I tried to move my my muscles were stiff and I couldn't make any movements. When it was closer to me, it bent down and touched my forehead whit it's long, wrinkled, gray fingers. A burning sensation went through my mind and I screamed at the top of my lungs. I closed my eyes and opened them again to see my room once again. I was sitting straight up, sweating, and shaking like crazy. I felt Andy shift his body. I looked at him to see that he had turned around and was now facing the inside of the bed. He was still sleeping. So was Sandra and Bethany. 'I wonder if they heard me scream.' I thought to myself. I looked at the clock. It was three in the morning. The dream seemed so short though. I decided to lay back down. I felt scared so I positioned myself so that I was facing Andy. He was breathing steadily, and that calmed me down for some odd reason. I sighed at closed my eyes. It was hard, but I managed to fall asleep again. Should I tell the group about my dream tomorrow morning? About that dark figure, and these visions, and this prophecy? They'll probably think I'm crazy.
