*Marina's POV*
So we're all on the grass. It's past midnight, and my dad's out cold. No one to catch us.
"So... I know that was a little reckless, but there could have been casualties..." I said.
"We understand." Alex said.
"So... we're gonna figure this out. Me and Brandon gotta figure out what we're gonna do in terms of shelter and necessities..."
"You could come stay with us."
I was speechless. That was the first thing anyone ever offered to do for me.
"You okay?" Alex asked, dragging me away from my awe and gratitude-filled thoughts.
I nodded.
"So what'd you take?" Brandon asked.
"I took two sets of clothes for both you and me, my savings, and my cellphone." I told him.
He smiled. I could tell he was relieved that he wouldn't have to wear his pajamas everywhere.
I don't know what happened after that. It just got foggier and foggier and then it just all went black.
