Falling for You Was Out of My Control

I am Not Crazy

Jessie's POV
"You know we still haven't decided which room is going to be the nursery," I sat up in bed as Evgeni walked around the foot of the bed to the bathroom and reappearing with his toothbrush.
"Does it matter?"
"Yeah of course it matters."
"Why?" He frowned.
"Well how far do you want to walk in the middle of the night when he starts crying?"
"I not mind," he shrugged.
"You say that know but when you are half asleep or just come back from a long road trip then how will you feel?"
"Well no guests use that room," he pointed out to the room across the hallway before disappearing into the bathroom.
"See now your thinking like a parent," I climbed out of bed and went to inspect.

Yes it was almost midnight but my mind was more active right now than it had been all day so I was taking advantage of it.

"Can't we do tomorrow?" Evgeni reappeared wrapping his arms around my waist as I stood in the doorway to the most likely candidate for the nursery.
"No I am not tired," I pulled away and got a better look.

I flicked the light on and stood in the middle of the room so I could see it all.

I could already imagine it filled with a cot and change table and rocking chair and toys everywhere. Yeah this was what I wanted in life. A family.

"The other rooms are too small," I shook my head as I walked passed him out the door to clarify with myself that they wouldn't be fit, "and when we have guests over they will be tiptoeing around our child and that's not fair."

Evgeni stayed still though, leaning against the wall, sweatpants sitting on his hips, arms folded across his chest with a broad smile in his face.

"What?" I stopped in the middle of flicking all the lights off to the other rooms, "these ones are to far away, that way that end of the hallway is all ours."
"You crazy person," he followed me as I headed back into the potential room.
"I am not crazy, Evgeni we have a lot to do before Andrei comes and we don't have much time."
"Yeah but not have to do at midnight," he reminded wrapping his arms around my waist and dropping a kiss to my forehead.

I wasn't going to explain my irrational brain function to him so I opted for the colour of the room.
"Jessie," he groaned dropping his forehead down on to my back, "can't we sleep?"
"No," I laughed as he grew more and more impatient with me, "you can go to sleep but I am staying here."
"If I go sleep you ever came to bed."
"Exactly because I am busy."
"No," he swung me around and before I could even begin to protest he was throwing me over his shoulder, "we go bed."

"Evgeni," I screamed as he dropped me on the bed.
"Sleep," he crawled on top of me and covered me with his large frame.
"Just because I am in bed doesn't mean I am going to sleep. I can talk all night."

"No," he groaned in response and moved himself off of me but kept his head on my chest.
"And you can't do anything about it because I will talk to the dogs if I have to."
"Crazy," he muttered.
"I am not crazy. Stop calling me that."
"Meh," he flapped his hand dismissing what I was saying.
"Your an ass," I grumbled trying but failing to even be the slightest bit annoyed at him for not caring about this all right now.

I couldn't resist him when he was this adorable, wrapped around me, sound asleep with his head on my chest completely worn out from all the workouts I had put him through on Kadar's request. Sometimes like now his lips would part and he would snore, the quietest rumble ever. Yes I could find away to mother everything and everyone around me at the moment.

"Goodnight Evgeni," I brushed my hand through his hair and closed my eyes letting his warmth drive me to sleep. Mixed with the dogs little snores and tiny wolfs as they slept it was easy to become tired and fall asleep dreaming of the life I had and how perfect it was.
